What is your favorite color of poodle?

Do your bichon's shed? I love poodles too, and have not had a shedding problem with them like with a lot of dogs. That was not very professional for him to roll his eyes like that. Brown could mean a of colors. Auburn/reddish could also be apricot to some people. I don't prefer an all white poodle b/c they get so dirty looking, but my daughter's poodle is white and apricot and is so precious. She looks like a spotted poodle with a mask on her face. When I can I will post a picture of her. She is a toy poodle, I don't know anyone with standard size poodles.

No, poodles are high maintenance. Well, ours is anyway. :) The groomers use both clippers and scissors. Do you groom your Bichon yourself? Yes, poodles are yappers. But ours is not the annoying type of yapper, not to us anyway. I'm going to tell my son about the Bichon. He is allergic and has been looking for a dog that doesn't shed and is hypoallergenic. Hello Apples of Gold! actually, no, the Bichons do not shed. They are completely hypoallergenic, cuddly, powder puffs. The no shed is what attracted me to the breed first. I think the fact that there are so few standard sized poodles about is why I would like one, plus they are so elegant looking, I rather like the Afghan as well :) Do you find that your poodles are yippy, or is that just a bad stereo type rap they have gotten? The Bichons are not yippy and are quite calm. Their only maintenance drawback is that they must be scissor cut rather than clippers. How about the poodle, can you clip them with the buzzers or must you use scissors also?

Yes, black poodles are fabulous. Mine was named Pepper and he was the sweetest little guy. I miss him, he has been gone for a long time now, but I still have pics of him and some video. We loved watching him, a playful little Rascal which is what the silver and white poodle's name was. Thanks for responding.

we currently have a little black kitten. oh my but he is so cute! we won't be keeping him but it sure is tempting. I have named him "Noche" for night.
