The First Time Opie Was in the Studio |
| |
| Opie Taylor who is 1.5 years old now, hung around with me today while I painted. I was so impressed! The very first time he hung out with me when I painted, he decided that it was a bit boring to just sit and watch - especially when I had such an intriguing brush going back and forth. Anyways, to make a long story short - and you probably guessed it, Opie pounced. He splattered into the paint on the canvass, obviously didn't like it, ran out of the studio, into the office, into the living room...leaving fresh paint prints as a trial to easily follow. And, he hated to be washed when I finally caught him! Today was a pleasant surprise - Opie just hung out with me, didn't chase the paint brushes and didn't run across the canvass! Do you have an outrageous kitten or cat story? | | | | | |

| | We have two cats, a large one (avatar cat) and a little scrawny one. Once while we had workmen in the house, I put them in a back bedroom and closed the door until it clicked. A few minutes later, they were out. I thought the door knob was broken. A few days later they were in my office when I closed the door. I was on the computer when I heard a click and turned around. The large cat (Humphrey) was standing on his hind paws and turning the door knob with his front paws. (Quess he saw me do it that way.) He opened the door and he and his little buddy (Pheesh) left. | | | | | | |

| | That is one smart kitty! I have a cat who can push his way through any door (and he is a very small cat at that), but he hasn't made it to the turning the door knob level yet. | | | |

| | Yes, he is a smart kitty. Unfortunately, a part of his smartness involves expending the least possible energy to get things done. He doesn't run around much and that's why he is also a fat kitty! LOL | | | |

| | I think Humphrey is bigger than Max - our rather large and lazy cat. And, that is a trick that neither of mine have thought of (whew!). | | | |

| | I had been painting the deck outside. One of the cats had gotten out but I got her back in. I didn't realize right away that she might have had paint on her paws. I am not sure when she got out and I was lucky that there was no paint on her paws. She would have made nice tracks on the living room floor. Of course, not thinking about the wet paint, it was I who had tracked some into the house and not the cat. I wasn't much of a mess. But I can't figure out how the cat didn't get paint on her paws. | | | | | | |

| | yes i do have stories of my own. i hate cats! and i just got bit by a dog today! i was a landlord and the cat owners that rented from me were....pigs!!!!... they had plenty of cats..!! and they're place stunk like...well you know what....!!! and when we finally evicted them...it took about a month to get that stink out...!!!! i have plenty more outrageous stories too...but some of them are not going to be spoken about on here!!! if i had my way...i would get a hole bunch of those "chippers"...that grind up tree limbs...and i would point them out over the river and i would round up all the cats and (some dogs)...and i would have them thrown in the chippers...8-hours-a-day....7-days-a-week...!!! and then there would be no more ferral cats and dogs running loose....!! | | | | | | |

| | What is your point? This ignorant ranting doesn't deserve the time of day. It's comments like this on MyLot that make me wonder why people even bother to write them down. | | | |

| | Yeah, you're right - treat the cat nice and really spoil him - then you have a cat that responds to you. 8) | | | |
