baby clothes, do they go out of style?  

When i have kids i will probably save my first babies clothes for my next one. Like you said the styles really don't change that much

I have not felt such thing as I choose clothes according to the comfort level theyu provide I avoid polyster or nylon clothes for my kids as they can cause skin iritation in the heat of my city. I preefer cotton clothes or hisery clothes which are comfortable loose and stretchable and fit for the kids. I think perso mentioning style must be really cool to follow fashion charts, which I hardly ever know about. I dop see many off shoulder and backless dresses around these days but I am not comfortable about making my daughter wear those, not because of exposutre but because I feel sometimes its too cold in the night or early morning and in the afternoons there's a hot wiond blowing so its better to keep them covered and comfortable.

Well, I can see some really stylish clothes not being in fashion later on but I don't buy those kinds of things really. I have a few pair of cute flared jeans with embroidery on them that I bought (or had given to me) in 2000 that might eventually go out of style but I would still use them. I got clothes from relatives when my oldest was born that were from the early-mid 90s and she still wore them (even when some were boy clothes).

Babies grow out of stuff so quick it doesn't really matter. They usually only wear something for a couple months and my kids ruined everything they wore. Especially my son and our last baby who both had reflux and just spit up on everything.

well, you are right i guess about certain things not going out of style. you know...gowns and long 1 piece pjs and all. i would keep them if you think you will have another child soon. me, personally, would get rid of them IF I wasn't planning on another child within a year only because I have no room to store things. :)

It's hard to say. My oldest niece is like 15 & this sister has 5 girls so when I had my little girl she loaned me some of the baby clothes what ever I wanted to use I could. I have to say, there was a big difference in style with some of her clothes & I did like a lot of them-- but, I didn't take the ones that weren't in style for today. I think for your daughter's ages there really wouldn't be too much change in the style of clothes & if they are in good condition I would keep them. I definately plan on keeping all my children's clothing and passing them down the line until they get too worn out or whatever. I just figure if I buy them for my daughter now & 5 years down the road if they are still in good condition--they will still be in style to me atleast & that's all that really matters.

Baby clothes really don't go out of style. The ones I had for my daughter would look equally cute on my granddaughter. Instead of buying a bunch of trendy baby clothes that will go out of style, buy traditional styles so that you can use them again down the line. Take the money you save and put it into your child's college fund.

Put it this way my daughter wears my sisters baby clothes and she is a year older than her and my mom dont mind getting used clothes for my baby sister so who knows how old the clothes are?!?!! My daughter syll wears them and still is adorable!!!!

No way. Onesies with ruffles on the rear NEVER go out of style. Blue jeans never go out of style, cute little summer dresses never go out of style. I definitly disagree. I mean, if we were dressing out infants in designer fashion jeans and one shoulder shirts, then I could see how they could go out of style...but most babies clothes are the basics. I was recently looking through my old baby clothes and my bro's baby clothes and, really, it's the same stuff that's at the stores today. Some of it is even cuter!

No I don't believe Baby clothes go out of Style at all they are still the same maybe different Patterns but that is about it

I don't think they do. Maybe the real expensive "trendy" stuff, but I never bought anything like that. I have a 15, 12 year old, and a 14 month old-all girls. I haven't noticed much difference now then what was out 15 years ago. My mom even had a couple of the really cute outfits saved, that we used on the new one. They're all lacy, frilly, pink, etc. It's the same.
