Silly dog! |

Our beagle, Maggie, thinks she is one of the kids. We bought a stuffed animal for the little ones to play with, but Maggie has decided that it is HER toy and she drags it into the dining room every chance she gets. Does your dog make the rules at your house?!

Inklings (860) | 2 years ago | She's normally a really good dog -- ne chewing, no messing in the house, and she's really gentle with the kiddies. She even wipes her feet on the throw rug by the door when she comes inside! She does two things that we just can't seem to stop, though: she tends to "take over" a stuffed animal here and there and when we go out, if we don't put a laundry basket or something on the couch, she jumps up there and perches on the back of the couch to look outside and then to take a nap! Little stinker!!

| newyorksfynest (13) | 2 years ago | my beagle Rosie has a rule in my house. She has a pillow that she....mounts all the time. The vet says mounting is more common in females than in males! Her "rule" is that no one can play with her pillow. And its not really a pillow either. Its the bed that holds the pillow. lol.idk y, but she likes it. Brittany

2. Raevyn1972 (220) | 2 years ago | Our beagle, Loki, TRIES to make the rules. He does the dragging thing with his crate bedding, if we forget to close the crate when he gets out in the morning. He also does the Snoopy thing and presents us with his water dish when he empties it (think Peanuts cartoons!). Beagles are such funny creatures, aren't they?!!!

4. astromama (726) | 2 years ago | My beagle is almost 5, and she definitely makes her own rules. She was an absolute hellion when she was younger, a regular escape artist. Now, though, the only annoying habit she has is sometimes getting into the kitchen trash if there's something that smells really good in there, but she doesn't do it often. I'm afraid I've kind of spoiled her, treating her more like a child than a dog... she sleeps with her head on my pillow and the covers pulled up to her neck, and I spoon her. She nudges the covers with her nose to let me know she's ready to be tucked in! Oh, she has one more supremely annoying habit: she paws at her metal food dish when she's hungry. I absolutely HATE the sound it makes against the floor, and she'll do it over and over again until you feed her, even though she's already eaten! She's not overweight though, so I guess no harm in an extra snack here and there... but that's the one rule of hers I could do without. Otherwise, I'm happy to oblige her because she's my best friend and it saddens me to think that one day she'll be gone... I know I'll miss that clanging food bowl when she's not around anymore:-(

5. karixie (108) | 11 months ago | Oh yes. Our dog takes all the stuffed animals from my room and his favorite is the stuffed tiger which he would wrestle. He also sits on the sofa whenever he enters our living room and eats on our slippers ( he wouldn't eat on the floor).

6. babiegirl45 (127) | 7 months ago | No my dog doesnt make the rules. I just thought it was funny about the stuffed animal. When I brought Baliey home he was really small. My daughter had sent with me a beany baby lion for him. So on the way home he used it for his pillow. When we got home and as he got older he started to suck on it. I have gone thorough alot of babies and he ONLY likes lions (not sure why) I still have the first one. He is now 4 years old and he still sucks when he is tired. The original one stinks soooo bad that I wont let him have it in my bed he has to have it in his crate. He has some in my bed and will grab them when he is ready for bed. Does she suck on the stuffed animal? Does she clean it? He also is obsesive about cleaning it before he sucks.
