Is all rounders neccessary for the India's World Cup team?  

yes we too hav some good allrounders like yuvraj,pathan,sachin,etc.... the fact is that they should maintain their present form...they really played well against the indies....we hav the potential to win the world cup..

I feel a good allrounder will certainly boost India's chances in teh world cup. As allrounder gives more balance to tha side as the captain has more options in the bowling attack and gives more depth to our batting. Beides captain will be able to field team with 5 genuine bowlers or play with 7 batsmen.
I think Irfan Pathan is good canditate for this position as been effective with bat and bowl in past. I feel if he gets his natural swing against srilankans & bowls well and get some wickets he should be included in world cup squad as he has lot of potentiala s allrounder & has been doin gwell with bat.

i think india needs some all rounders like hussey and clarke and andrew symonds

all the teams that do well generally have all rounders
and that is what india lacks, if we could have a good quality all rounder , it could solve all our selection problems

yes it is must for indian team an all rounders for our team.

its not the question of confidence,i think allrounder are the key members of the team..ofcourse it will be better giving chances to new faces

india definaltely needs an all rounder ,everyteam now has genuine allrounders in there team ,we also need in the mould of Kallis,symonds,oram and flintoff.The best suited allrounder for india is Pathan, its high time when everyone should start considering him as an allrounder rather than wicket taking bowler as he has performed with bat everytime when he has failed with ball, i think he has contributed india if not with ball than with bat, for me he should be in da team coming and bowling second change bowler and coming as one down batsman

yes allrounders do play a critical role, espesialy in ODI
format of game, they can be handy in situation were ur bowlers and batsman fail to deliever!!

Yes i think all rounders are the need of the time right now...We have only one all rounder for now i.e. Irfan Pathan but he too is not in form right now
I think we need more of the fast bowling all rounders as we have many batsman who can bowl some spin but what we really lack is all rounders of the quality of jacques kalluis and andrew symonds and flintoff.
