2.  freak369 (3484) | 3 years ago |  I'd have to go with Ozzy; before he started the whole reality show routine he was one of the most dedicated guys in the business. Sabbath has influenced a lot of groups and musical styles over the years but I am constantly amazed when people talk about music and neglect to mention them.

By the way, when did Rob Halford ever sing for Black Sabbath?

The first time was because Sabbath (with Dio) had a couple shows supporting Ozzy. Ozzy wanted to sing on the last few songs on their set and Ronnie vehemently opposed saying that he didn't want the fans to think that Black Sabbath was reuniting with Ozzy. The band decided to go through with it and Ronnie refused to take the stage, leading Ozzy to recruiting Rob Halford to sing for those shows.
The second time, Ozzy came down with bronchitis during Ozzfest and Halford was called to replace him again. | |
