Are you a worrier ?? |
| |
| I am a real worrier , I worry myself sick about things . My family get so annoyed at me but I just can't help it , If I have a problem and I can't solve it I am like a dog with a bone I just have it at the back of my mind and it niggles at me all the time , I thought my daughter in law had given me her copy of her wedding video taken 22 years ago so I could transfer it to DVD for her , I couldn't find it and I was really upset about it , I love her like a daughter and when I phoned to explain she said not to worry as It didn't matter , I felt even worse because she was so nice about it , My granddaughter was in visiting with her boyfriend last night and when I mentioned it to her , she said it was in the cupboard i her room , I felt so relieved I could have danced , She didn't see the problem and just said " nanny you worry too much " would you have Been the same under the circumstances ? | | | | | |

| | it really depends on the situation. some things i don't tend to worry about so much but some things i go overboard with worry. as for the wedding video i would have worried about that. i never got a copy of my wedding video. i was married in the courthouse and my sister in law video taped it but never offered us a copy. i was a little upset about it. | | | | | | |

| | Not really. I do what I can to make the situation better if it turnout OK if not I just move on. Otherwise I would drive myself crazy because I have the affliction of being a perfectionist. You have to know when to give in and let go. | | | | | | |

| | We are both the same my friend, I constantly worry, I take after my mum in that respect, she too is a great worrier, although she has eased up a bit. I always look at worrying in this way, which is a great help to me. Sit down and spend twenty minutes worrying about the problem you face, or problems in the plural, ok sitting comforably? Right, twenty minutes have gone by and you've spent that time worrying! Ok, what have you achieved? NOTHING You've just wasted twenty minutes worrying but nothing has changed! The status quo is still the same, the same problems are still there! My aunt had a saying which is very very true If you've got a problem, do something about it, if not bu**er it! | | | | | | |

| | Yes I would say I am a real worrier, I do not worry as much as I used to though. Yes it is very hard to stop worry about something that is on your mind and you can't solve it quickly. Yes and some times when we loose something it does worry us especially when the other person is so nice about it but you know something Weemam that when we lose something don't worry about it as we normally find it when we are looking for something else and that is what we found out when we had to move quite a bit, so I hope this helps with your worries. Yes I would of felt exactly like you did though. | | | | | | |

| | Oh, weemam, I'm so sorry that you worried so much over that video! I'm so glad that your granddaughter knew where it was! You must have felt such relief! ^_^ I am a worrier, for sure. I always thought that I was the worst, but my best friend is probably even more sensitive and more of a worrier than I am. I am just really, really sensitive and shy, and I especially worry myself to death over things to do with other people, because people mean everything to me. For example, I will write something to someone that I think a lot of, and if they don't reply I will start flipping out that I said something wrong or that made them think differently of me. I really honestly thought that I had lost a friend a couple of times recently when I didn't hear from them for a week or two. I don't mean to worry like that, but I find myself having to push back the nervousness and fear that I sometimes get after writing to certain people or writing about certain things on my journal knowing that certain people read it. I am getting better, honestly - I used to be far worse - but I still have a terrible, terrible tendency to worry about things like that. I even did it last night, only to hear from the person in question this morning and see that things were 100% fine, lol. | | | | | | |

| | I wouldve been, yes. If I dont know something I find the answer, if I cant find something, everything else stops until I find it. Tunnel vision, I'd say. As for worrying, up all night? Only when it concerns my job, money or the kids...so I would say the answer would be yes ;) | | | | | | |

| | I would have been very worried had I thought that I had misplaced something that would be irreplaceable. I worry to much and this has caused me to have anxiety atttacks. I don't know why some people worry to much and yet others seem to have no worries at all, but I wish that I could be in the middle, not to much, and not at all, just right. I'm glad that it was found. Good luck here at mylot! | | | | | | |

| | I am a worrier too... that worry usually turns to panic and anxiety. Usually it's about something I forgot to do or something I left somewhere. What keeps me grounded is my guy. He never worries about anything, you'd think he didn't care. A very simple example is when we're already late for an engagement... I'd panic and run around the house but he'd even find time to watch TV. I guess you could find comfort in the people around you... if your friend was nice about it, try to relax. I'm sure this has happened to you--- you worried so much but everything turned out OK anyway... you then think how silly you were to panic. | | | |
