What makes people "blame others"? is it pride?

Nope, blaming is not positive at all. People blame others b/c they don't see fault in themsevles. So the more the blame others, the more and more they are telling themselves "it wasn't my fault, I'm perfect" and that can't be good for them. In the long run, it's best to take responsibility for your actions. Even when I feel the excuses in my head for something that went wrong, I try to hold them in and just say "sorry" because I know excuses are just that - excuses.
