Cheese On Toast?

I like welsh rabbit but I don't think I've ever just melted a regular slice of cheese on toast. In the mornings sometimes I put goat cheese on my toast if i'm having it with eggs. It's just a little bit salty and mild enough to not compete with eggs. For welsh rabbit, I use extra sharp cheddar mostly, although smoked gouda is really good as well.. I do that if I'm making it for more than one, since smoked gouda is more expensive.

Love cheese on toast & being an Aussie - i like cheese & vegemite :) You cook the toast - butter & vegemite it, the what cheese on top & melt it - it's GREAT! Although i have noticed that a lot of people outside of Australia cant stand vegemite so if you don't like potent things, i don't recommend you try it but if you're adventurous & happy to try new things - try it! I go with block cheese & then slice it - for some reason block cheese seems to taste better than the pre sliced stuff - that's kind of rubbery!

This is my hubby's favourite snack It has to be Scottish cheddar of course( as we are Scottish) with some black pepper on top , he has this often at night when we are watching TV , nice and quick to make and yet tasty , I am hungry now lol xx

One of my all time favourite snacks, I never get fed up with cheese on toast in the UK we also call it welsh rarebit. I love the bread fresh and cut like doorsteps, with grated strong mature cheddar cheese on top, I don't have any sauce or spread on it, just cheese on bread, delicious, now you've made me hungry!

it's delicious ! me and my husband enjoy this for breakfast as having our cheese on top of the hot toasted bread that it will melt a bit when eaten then a little dash of garlic powder and a spread of butter makes it more yummy and much flavor. so great with egg omelet or even by itself and a mug of hot chocolate or fresh orange juice and a piece of banana.

yummmyyy lol now thats what i call a woman who has the expertise of knowing what men want and i agree the ways to the man's heart is through his stomach and yes i love cheese as well and lots of it on my bread on my toppings and its a must in the breakfast there is no breakfast without cheese and then add some cheese and butter on my cofee lol i hope i am not makeing u talk with all these cheesy talks lol but yes i love cheese and NO i am NOT fat lol.

I do... I love cheese on toast! Me, me, me! lol. I slice the cheese on, then I sometimes slice tomatoes on top of the cheese, or onions, or cut up some ham or bacon and sprinkle that on top of the cheese. Yummy. I use cheddar cheese, extra mature, so it has plenty of flavour and I cook it until the cheese starts to brown. Better than pizza any old day. lol. Brightest Blessings.

I love cheese on toast and have it when I can't be bothered to cook a dinner for myself. It reminds me of when I used to stay at a friends after a night on the tiles. We would get back and cook it with lashings of tommy sauce. Oh what a comfort food it is.

My entire family loves this, too. We have been doing this for many years now. My daughter grates the cheese, but if I do it I just make slices. Sometimes, we throw in some more ingredients, producing something similar to a pizza. It tastes great. I prefer to use the cheddar over cream cheese, by the way.

You brought up memories from when I was little my mom would make me cheese on toast!! She always used regular slices cheese but I think others would be good to try, and Worcesteshire sauce on it sounds great!!!

I love putting cheese on toast. Usually for breakfast I will put cheesewizz on my toast, but as an appetizer or snack I will put either cheese slices or grated cheese on. My favorite is when I melt marble cheese ontop of it and put some lettuce ontop..so good!

I love melted cheese, swiss, cheddar or munster best, with a slice of tomatoe on toasted seeded bread. I put on a dab of mustard with it. I just slice the cheese thin, so it will melt easier. The only time I grate cheese, is when I am making a cheese omlet.

Cheese on toast is deffinitly on of my guilty pleasures. I prefer to have red leicester on top of thick cut bread. I think I will have some later on infact.

hell yea, i love it too. when my mom is busy and i am hungry i make myself that and i like it. i only put put cheese on the toast without anything. i like only the yellow cheese, well it is the only one i tasted.
