I would go for the psp. It has mp3, internet, photo, video, games...

i would sat psp is better. you can listen to music and play games. few your pics and surf the web. watch videos. the games are pretty cool and its also small enough to fit in your pocket for on the go.

Nintendo DS forever!! I think that with its dual screen and touch screen it is an innovative console. It has cute and funny games too, it has wi-fi and other nice features. I bought a DS lite and I am really satisfied with it!

well first of all, is what you like. but as for my opinion, i have both DS an PSP, and think i like the psp better than the ds because you can also listen to music and surf the web and do other features other than just playing.

Wow, alot of posts that shouldn't be in here. If any thing, could have just created a poll. No offense to the people that posted the very short one line responses, but just saying one is better, and leaving it at that, isn't very helpful. But this shows, some people like the PSP better, some like the DS better. Instead of going by what others thinks, lets discuss both and who ever reads this can choose for them selves.

DS - Can close to protect screen. Touch screen so the games are interactive, making them more fun to most. Has a better screen ratio and brightness than PSP, but is much smaller. Very compact and with a memory adapter can add any game and or program you want. Including but not limiting to web browser, AIM, MSN, radio, mp3, movies, linux, macintosh 7.5, drawing programs, PDA software, programing languages etc.... The graphics on the games aren't that great I agree, most games do not include video, just still pictures with text. But face it, if you wanted something like that, can use a system connected to a tv. A DS is meant for the move, fast pace type of stuff. Games are very inexpensive if you purchase them. Has standby mode (when closed) to suspend the battery life nearly 5 times the normal.

PSP - Large nice looking screen, great for movies, or cinema on games. Screen is one of the easiest things to scratch I've ever seen. The discs are replicas of the PS2 games, but scaled way down, and with fewer levels. Easier on the hands to play than DS. With hard ware added, can put movies, mp3, games, and other software, but not as versatile as DS (no operating systems, no programming, no chat programs), comes with web browsing software. Movies are the movies you get for normal DVD's with no extras, and limited menus (not because they ran out of room, they just didn't put them on there). Games and Movies are very expensive. Looks better than the DS, so has show-off factor. A great movie player for on the go, with either discs, or hard drive space. Menu is not the fastest thing to navigate, gotta read each item. Load times, since it's running off a disc, or for some reason even when running off the hard drive, are too excessive making it less optimal in those times when you only have a few minutes to enjoy it.

They each have their own uses, like computers and laptops, nothing are an every-situation device. If your more into movies and tv, and have the time to watch them away from home (why what them on home, if you have a larger screen), then PSP will rock. Or if you just don't have the time to sit down and play a playstation 2 game on a PS2, but still want to play the games. But if you like versatility, and like interactive games more than 'good looking' games, or if you live a more fast paced life, where you don't have time to sit down for a full movie, then DS might be best.

But again, you might like action games better than thinking and strategy. There are just to many things to weigh in for one person to just say *** is better than ***.
