I can't really decide which is my favorite Kevin Smith movie cause I love them all - but Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back is my least favorite. I thought Jersey Girl was really good and I don't think he was breaking out of his mold. I think he was expanding it.

I too enjoyed Jersey Girl, and GnosticGoddess is absolutely correct when saying Kevin Smith was 'expanding his mold.' I thought Clerks II was the worst of them all. It had it's moments, but was nothing in comparison to Clerks I. Clerks I was my favorite. The dialogue in that movie was nothing short of spectacular. I did buy a limited edition Degrassi High where Kevin Smith wrote an episode or two, and both he and Jay appeared in an episode or two. After watching the entire series I sold it a few days later. It was AWFUL!!

My favorite is Dogma. I think it will probably always be the one I like best, but Clerks II was hilarious.

My least favorite was Jersey Girl I just didn't really care for it. My favorite Kevin Smith movie is Clerks, I just loved that movie the first time I saw it and nothing that I ever saw of his after that were quite as good for me.

I haven't seen any movies directed by Kevin Smith, but watched few movies he acted in.
I liked Live Free or Die Hard but it's not due to Kevin Smith but due to Bruce Willis as I am a big fan of Bruce Willis ...

Jersey Girl is definitely my favorite and I end up getting teary eyed each and everytime that I watch it. The themes in the movie was awesome and the soundtrack was amazing.
Dogma, Clerks II, Catch & Release, and Chasing Amy would all come in for second... but I have to say that I absolutely could not stand Mall Rats, and could care less if I ever have to see that film again. Kevin Smith is an amazing writer and director.
