I rented the movie Barnyard, and I was in disbelief! The cartoonist must have never been around reall cattle at all.The bulls had utters! My 10 year old said to me ,mom why does the bulls have the sames as the heffers? I said what, and she pointed it out to me.She said that isn't right. And I agree. Some people wonder where our kids go wrong with certain things. I was raised on a farm and I know my animals pretty good. And so does my kids, so when we see a sight like that we have us a laugh at the dummy who don't know what is what. Most cartoonist don't draw anything on the bulls and let the heffers(girl cows) have the utters,so to tell them apart.Cause there are some with and without horns,so that can't be what tells the difference. I don't know maybe I am crazy, but I believe if kids are to watch stuff, when let it be correct.Whats your idea on this?

Well, I feel like an absolute city girl (and I'm not even from the city!!). My kids must have watched that a dozen times or more, I'd catch bits and pieces as I puttered around, and I never even noticed that one. Kuddo's to your daughter. She's one smart cookie!

I noticed that right off and I wonder if it was a mistake or done on purpose to see how many people actually paid attention there are alot of children out there who don't even know a cow from a horse so I really do not think that they meant to confuse children just make it a little funnier by making girl cows talk like boy cows I really think that for anyone not to see abit of humor in it is really not looking at the big picture I say laugh about it the kids generally don't pay enough attention and its the parents job to make sure there kids understand they were just making a movie its not real.

I haven't seen the movie, I didn't know that was bull! We just seen the TV adds and thought it was a cow with a male voice and siad that was enough to not go see it. I know it's just entertainment, but it doesn't take that much to make sure you know what in the world you are portraying.

I'm sorry, I'm confused about something. Your issue is with an animated film not being accurate? I wonder if you realize how silly that sounds to anyone else. Shouldn't the initial complaint then be that cows and bulls are 3 dimensional and not drawn? It's a cartoon, it's not MEANT to be realistic. Barnyard specifically is a Nick Jr movie, so the animations are very loosely rendered. They're computer engineered images, not drawings. When have you ever seen realism in cartoons? When Wile E Coyote blew himself up a hundred times and always reappered unscathed? When Bugs Bunny constantly travelled underground to Constantinople? Cartoons are a childrens form of fantasy, they don't have to be real. I can't get over the irony of picking on the fact that the bulls had udders, but not being annoyed that the animals stood up and talked when the humans weren't in sight.
