Powder or gel dishwasher detergent  

Powder, I think the liquid is more expensive. I get it from Sam's Club-not name brand.

I don't use either...I use the tablets made by Electrosol. In fact, I use the Electrosol with Powerball and I really like it. It is simple to use, isn't messy and the powerball contains jet dry so that glasses don't spot.

I guess liquid. I used that for a long time. I used cascade. But now I've discovered electrosol. And I love it! The best so far, for us.

I like the powder.

I wish that I had a dishwasher. What a time saver that would be for me!

gel powder seems to clog up the system after a while

Liquid, I haven't found a brand I love yet. I'm always buying something different.

As far as what we like best, we got some little cubes that are great. They are Electrosol, and there's no mess with them at all. They also do a good job of cleaning the dishes. As far as brand, we saw a show comparing different brands one time. They found that the cheaper brands like Electrosol ad All worked better than the more expensive brands.
