I collect baseball cards and I have noticed on e-bay that a lot of people have cases or huge boxes full of unopened baseball cards from years past. Can anyone tell me how they find them and buy them??? I am just curious, I think it would be a great family project to have everyone go through the cards and discover what is there.

In my opinion, quite a few of the sellers of unopened packs/boxes of cards aren't really unopened. There is an awful lot of pack re-sealing going on and the problem is, many of these re-sealers are getting pretty good at it. If you don't know what you are looking at, you could be buying searched packs and find yourself with a bunch of common cards with dinged corners or centering problems. There are many reputable dealers in sealed packs/boxes and if you're interested in buying unopened cards that you can be almost 100% sure they are original search for- Base Ball Card Exchange. I've have purchased from this dealer of unopened merchandise in the past and I know I can buy with confidence from him. The owner is an authenticator for the #1 grading company in sports cards and certainly would risk damaging his rep by selling anything he thought could possibly be re-sealed. Feel free to ask if you have questions and Good Luck ripping packs!!

A lot of these people buy from wholesalers. They either have a store where they sell baseball cards and use the Internet as a way to sell other cards, or they have an online store where they sell cards. eBay is a great resource for these people to sell their cards because baseball card collecting isn't what it used to be.
