I am not very familiar with mosdt US politicians, so it's hard for me to comment on this.
Why would Al Sharpton be shocked that his ancestors were slaves? It makes sense that a leading proponent of segregation, would have slaves.
The world benefited when savery, and then segregation ended.
I wasn't shocked when I found out that an ancestor of mine was a convict, but I was somewhat surprised that aother ancestor was a full blood Aboriginal.

Yes, I remember segregation very much so. I remember a lot of things that I would like to forget.
