I was at a baby shower recently, and one of the guest brought a diaper cakes. It was really beautiful. I was wondering if anyone makes diaper cakes. Are they profitable? I think the young lady said she charge over $40.00 for 1.

Yes, they can be extremely profitable if you find the right crowd to cell to. I've never made any myself, but I have seen a ton of them. Check out www.craftster.org Go to their forums and do arch for diaper cakes. There is a ton of them there (and I think a lot of them make them for a living). Some of them are pretty fancy, too. I think their really cute gifts.

You are right they are cute. I have a baby shower coming up in a couple months, and I might attempt to make one. I am not familiar with crafster.org. I will check that website out.

Have fun! Maybe post a discussion on how you made it and put a picture so we can see it when you get through. Craftster is a great website for anyone who loves to craft. At first it was a little tricky for me to figure out, so if you need help, let me know and I'll be glad to. Thanks for choosing me as best response, by the way. :-)

I've only made them as gifts. It really depends on how careful you are - although you can charge more if it's bigger. For me, the tricky part is cellophane.

Yea, I agree. I am not good with cellophane either.
