Dr. Seuss the activist  

Never heard that before. I'd be interested in seeing some of the cartoons.

I read an article yesterday on gather about Dr. Seuss. It was filled with wonderful info that I did not know. They mentioned that he Did politiacal cartoons also and no I did not know until then. Dr Seuss childrens books has been around for a long time. I think most of us just associate him with children stories

Yes, I did. Read the Lorax and the Butter Battle Book. These books are for kids, but they're about politics if you read them carefully.

This reminds me about the story about James Brown a few weeks ago how he was glorified at the funeral service and then news came out how he was an abusive and wild thing.....I never heard about the angry pictures but i donot think that is that bad of a thing We all have ups and downs and maybe sometimes to get the message across angry pictures where the best way to get the truth out there ...who knows the circumstances about this .Even though it was political cartoons that has been going on since the printing press was invented so i say laissez-faire. As asked ....no i didnot know that about Dr Seuss and maybe because i had no reason to dig into things but a final thought i think there was a little angry in Mr Grinch ....wasnot there... and i understand many children were terrorized by that cartoon ..

I did not know this. I also find it interesting that his birthday is March 2nd and World Book Day is March 1st. I wonder if there is a connection?
