Has anyone heard of Sandy Denny?  |

|  She was the only guest vocalist to appear on a Led Zeppelin album ever she's on "The Battle Of Evermore" on Led Zeppelin IV. She was also a famous folk rock singer in her own right and performed with a band called Fairport Convention and for a short time had a band called Fotheringay before she went solo.
I seem to be the only person with her listed as an artist I listen too, but surely there must be some more people who are fans on here?

| |  Well I wouldn't necessarily call myself a fan of Sandy, but I do remember her. I even had a few Fairport Convention albums (back in the days of vinyl, and long before CDs - LOL!), in the 70's. I can honestly say I don't remember Fotheringay at all though!

| |  No sorry I have never heard of Sandy Denny, maybe this show called Battle of Evermore is not aired in my country, as I have never heard of this show, and not heard of Sandy Denny hopefully some others members have though.

| |  Sandy Denny was great. I haven't listened to much of her solo work apart from one CD I own which contains two solo albums she made, but she was great in Fairport Convention. Meet On The Ledge and Who Knows Where The Time Goes are two great songs she did with them.

| | Sandy Denny had such a sweet voice, one of the greatest female singers of all time, in my opinion. You should listen to the albums she made with Fairport Convention, paticularly 'Leige and Leif'. It's a tragedy she died so young. | | | |

| |  You are not alone. We have a compilation cd called 'No more sad songs' by Sandy Denny. She was the most amazing singer and is sadly missed by those of us who admired her work.
Thanks for posting this and reminding us of the work she did with Led Zeppelin.
