I was under the impression that when you added tags to a conversation that meant that if someone did a search on mylot for that word all discussions with that tag would come up..
today I wanted to respond to a conversation i KNOW i read awhile ago concerning the princess bride movie. I also distinctly that it had been tagged with "the princess bride" because that's how I knew what movie they were talking about. Yet when I used the search bar at the top and did a mylot search that discussion never came up :(

That is what they are their for. I did a search prior to responding and came up with 5 discussions on this. However I ran it as "Princess Bride" leaving out "The". I think that the discussion that your specifically referring to was their also at the bottom of the page. Good luck and hope this helped. :)

just a warning about the tags. If you don't use them, you get less points. I'm sure about that. One day I spent about 45 minutes online and answered a great deal of questions but didn't tag any of them, and the next day I only made 3 cents. Be forewarned!!!!!!

Well I also thought that tags are search links, but I have never tried to use search on mylot. But it might be possible that the post you are searching for might have been deleted. Just check that out and alternatively put this query to mylot administrator and let s see what is their response pertaining to this.
