I've always gotten or seen great deals from HP - free shipping, customizable computers, lots of specials and free or cheap add-ons, etc. My current computer is and HP and runs marvelously.

HP can build you a nice one for less than $700. Tigerdirect.com and Ibuypower.com are both excellent sites as well. I actually suggest you check the last two before buying from any major manufacturer. If you want something cheap that will last forever, get an eMachine. They are the best deal you will find. I don't suggest buying Dell's or Compaq's as I have had a lot of trouble with both brands.

Dell is our vote, I am getting a new built for me more powerful and ready to use out of the box computer for only 700 dollars. Printer 73 dollars and free shipping. My daughter is getting a laptop for 733 dollars and it has all she needs and she says more. Free shipping again. I wish you luck. We have never had a problem with a Dell product!!!

I would suggest eBay, maybe a retail store... If you truly want Great quality computers I would suggest Dell computers, they are the most reliable in my opinion.

You might want to try Walmart, or maybe a computer store. The only thing is I wouldn't trust anything that wasn't a known brand. They seem to have more problems. I purchased my first computer from a computer store and it lasted me almost 5 years before I caught a virus the ruined my system. The computer that I currently use is alsop from a computer store and it works great. They are priced right, and usually give a warranty.
