A question of love

Since I believe in a God or supreme being, I also think that this being LOVES all and IS all. It is nothing but pure love. So my friends, for those of you being of a religious/God loving mind, I ask this question...Does God not love the Devil too? How can God love us and all of his/her creation and not love Satan also? Anybody have any theories or answers or comments?

He is a fallen angel, and was thrown out of the heavens to rule here. He was evil, and not loving, so could not share in heaven. I'm not God, and really do not know what He feels. He may love him, but heaven is only for beings that love God and put Him first. This is an excellent question and I wish I had the answer. I will be giving you a + rating for this post though.

Our God is a God of love only. But, He does give us our own choices.

Hello Sigma77,
I had a half-brother, who has since passed away. He was rotten to the core. No redeeming qualities -- no exaggeration. He could have quite easily been described as evil, again no exaggeration.
Although I never loved him, I know that my mother who begot him, did love him. She may not have liked him, but love? Yes, she did!
I think the same is true for 'The Divine', and his strayed child. God created Lucifer, so I'm sure that a parent's love superceded all else in their relationship. In fact, much has been written about Lucifer's eternal intent to gain it's way back into Heaven.
However, God is omniscient. So, God must have known that Lucifer would turn away from his love.
I suspect that God, who is infinitely wise, recognized the need for balance, and it's two extremes of good and evil when creating Lucifer. Especially if 'will' was to play such an important role in the creation of man. God could never hope that man would ultimately choose good if an alternative was not presented.
So, I suspect that all along it was God's intent to create Lucifer, and love him, knowing that the purpose Lucifer was to serve would ultimately be the most challenging role cast for any of God's angels. As dominion over evil, Lucifer must constantly relive his own affront against God's love. Geesh, no wonder why hell is supposedly such a nasty place!
Just a theory.

Have you ever heard of "Tough Love"? I think perhaps that is what God had to do for Satan, who used to be called Lucifer. In fact, I am sure God must have loved him at some point because Satan was God's chief musician.
God throwing Satan out of heaven is like a family disowning another family member who is a mass murderer. (Okay that is harsh, but that is the reality of it.)
