The Rodeo Scene  

I was aghast at the bigoted old man giving Borat directions before he went out to talk. And I thought it was even more hilarious how the crowds just kept cheering louder and louder, no matter what Mr. Cohen was saying, until he started singing that made-up national anthem (to the tune of our own.) The audience reaction in that scene is just priceless. But I also worry that to someone who isn't American that watches the movie, it may make Americans look like bigger idiots/jerks than we are.

That's pretty cool that the scene was filled so close to where you live. I think it's so great how at the time people were wondering what the heck was going on, since they didn't know that it was a joke/future movie.

I've only seen bits and pieces of this flick ... when it comes out on DVD I am probably going to buy a copy of it instead of renting it because I loved this charage when it was on the Ali G show. Thanks for adding that link, it was pretty interesting to read LOL

YEA!!! i love borat! that movie was to awesom!

l have not seen the full movie,just clips ,but l can tell you something that guy, borat has got guts,he does real crazy things,some funny and others are a bit....

I wonder how many people in that scene knew it was a movie/act? From what I've heard, a lot of people in that movie didn't know it was make-believe.

In the DVD, there is an outtake where they did a story on the news about it.

i really enjoyed the movie, not for the story line but because there was practically no script and each scene was done naturally, i.e: in one take. the guy's got some guts - he's lucky he wasn't killed or beaten to death! as an american it would be understandable if you feel bad about the way you are portrayed (dumb and gullible) - that said Borat is not discriminative - he takes the mickey out of everyone!
