 An introduction...
The dragon or the snake is the devil and Satan (Revelation 20:2). Satan has authority (Acts 26:18), congregation, throne and dwelling (Revelation 2:9, 13). There is an angel of Satan (Acts 12:7). Satan transfigures himself into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Satan binds (Luke 13:16), covets (2 Corinthians 2:11). Satan enters into man (Luke 22:3, John 13:27), fills heart (Acts 5:3). Satan hinders (1 Thessalonians 2:18), tempts (Mark 1:13, 1 Corinthians 7:5), sifts (Luke 22:31), casts out (Matthew 12:26; Mark 3:23). Satan takes the Word of God (Mark 4:15).
The devil is an oppressor of men (Acts 10:38). The devil has children (Acts 13:10). The devil has methods (Ephesians 6:11) and trap (1 Timothy 3:7; 2 Timothy 2:26). The devil has the might of death (Hebrews 2:14). The devil is like a lion (1 Peter 5:8). The person who does sin is from the devil (1 John 3:8). The devil has children (1 John 3:10). The devil casts out (Revelation 2:10). The devil was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur (Revelation 20:10).
The devil is the ruler of the world - Matthew 4:8-9; Luke 4:6-7.

1.  whacks (758) | 3 years ago |  "The devil has the might of death (Hebrews 2:14)." People live in slavery because of the fear of death and so the Lord Jesus came in flesh in order that through the death He could destroy the devil who has the power of death.
The Lord died and lived again and therefore He defeated Satan who has only the power of death, no power to make people alive again. This is what we people should understand.

This poor planet is covered with untruth like a gird.. or a heavy wet quilt set low in the atmosphere.. and from what heights he fell, having been one of God's higher angels.. I used to wonder why God only created man and woman and the universe after the first (actually, bound-to-occur) rebel thought not only occurred, but had fully ripened into outright revolt and trickery - it was so all (man and angels) would take this bound-to-occur journey away from Perfection/God/Life together..
