Do you think gyms (fitness centers) are the best way to get exercise?

yes ofcourse. It will enforce some routine for you to do the exercise. If you dont go for gym then you will feel lithargic and tend to cut the exercises. Not only for exercises but also they suggest you diet and also the mode of living healthy life.

The best excercise is self effort!
If you dont make an effort to do things, to excercise you wont be able to do anything at the gym either
For me, i excercise at home
For those who cannot afford, or dont want to excercise at home for them gyms are the best option

I wud not say they r the best way but yes they r one of the most common ways to excercise and be fit...apart from that there are many other games like cricket volleyball basketball badminton and (my best one) swimming to keep urself fit....gyms r also for the ppl who want to make a gud physique and have strong muscles and not just be fit...but workaholic....which may inluce actors actresses models and ppl in the like profession....

Yes it really helps compared to home excersising, because you have to go to another place, where you dont have all the things to do which you have in home, so you won't get disturbed. It gives alot of motivation.
Also the machines there are designed to be more comfortable than "natural" ways to train (push ups etc). Of course if you are looking to lose weight, walking/jogging is still unbeatable.

I think it depends on who you are. I can exercise in my own home with Pilates and yoga tapes, but other people may need that extra support of gym goers and staff to motivate them...
