When it comes to soundtracks, I generally prefer the scores to the movie rather than soundtracks made up of old songs. My favorites are Dances With Wolves, Chaplin, Regarding Henry, Braveheart, and Gladiator (anything that Lisa Gerrard lends her vocals to me is always on my list).
I also like Natural Born Killers as it's a mixture of score and Nine Inch Nails tracks.

I would say *most* movie soundtracks are very nice. To get your fill of them, I recommend http://www.musicovery.com/index.php?ct=us . The music there is free too - quite like the Pandora I recommended - but this one has less in its library.
There is a category there called "soundtracks" so you could indulge a little if you want. Off the cuff, I quite like the one for Armageddon. ;-)

Hey thanks for that link. Alot of times I will watch a movie and a song will really get to me but then its hard to find, especially if you did not catch the closing credits to see the title. So many thanks.

This is an odd choice, but I am crazy about the soundtrack for "You've Got Mail." My family used to have a tradition of going to one of the movies that opened on Christmas Day that afternoon, and we went to "You've Got Mail" that Christmas Day when it opened. My father gave me and my sister the soundtrack that day and I hardly ever listened to it but then I happened to pull it out and start playing it with my son one day and so there is a four year old out there completely in love with "Splish Splash" and "Rockin Robin" (although he calls that "Tweet Tweet"). The soundtrack also has the old Stevie Wonder version of "Signed Sealed Delivered" and I have a great time with that. That CD lives in the changer in my car now and very often my son and I listen to some of it on the way to school.

My all time favorite movie soundtrack is from "Dirty Dancing". I love all of the songs on it and even though the movie is kinda cheesy, I really love the movie too. *LoL*

It's got to be "Footloose". With Kevin Bacon. I first watched this movie with my kids when they were very young, I love this movie and the soundtrack. I can watch it and listen to it over and over. I used to have the cassette soundtrack but lost it in a move over the years, but I still love it.

Jesus Christ, Superstar is definitely one, as well as Phantom of the Opera and Doctor Zhivago. Can't beat the oldies of the Big Chill.

My favorite too is Saturday Night Fever. My favorite song is "How deep is your love" what an excellent album. After all these years that album is still going strong. That is what you call real music!

I love the Singles soundtrack because it has music on it from the early 90s, which is my favourite period for music.

My favorite movie soundtrack is usually the soundtrack from Adam Sandler’s movies like 50 first dates, and little nicky… I love the way he chooses the songs for his films! Most of the bands that he chooses to participate in the soundtrack of his films are usually the bands that I like! I also like the soundtrack from the blade and matrix movies, especially when I'm in the mood for a little techno...
I love movies and I love I better if It's paired with an awesome musical score or soundtrack! =)

Soundtracks are the BEST. Footloose has a great one and so is Pulp Fiction. I have several that I like a lot. The Faculty soundtrack is also a great one. :)

I wouldn't be able to pick just one. I like the sound tracks from Ravenous, Heaven and Earth, Gladiator, City of Lost Children, and probably a bunch of others that I can't think of right now. Breakfast on Pluto has a great one, too.
