What is your favourite type of music? |
|
OK - so nice, simple, easy question today - I can't think too much at weekends these days! Guess we all love music of some kind or another - so what is "YOUR" kind? Do you like Classical or Rock? Rap or Country and Western? Jazz or Folk? For me - well I was a teenager in the UK in the 70's, so ues I have always been a bit of a "rock chick" - LOL! I used to love the great British "rock" bands like Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin, and I still listen to them a lot today. So what about you?

2. lilibetha (655) | 3 years ago | I love rock and roll from 1970-1993 or so. I'll never forget the amazing impact the Beatles and the rolling stones had on my taste. These groups were so cool, the music was (is) hot, and reminds me of being young, hopeful, impressionable.

4. sojournseeker (1032) | 3 years ago | When it comes to enjoying vocals from gifted and talented singers, I have to say I am quite eclectic. My fingers change the dial on the radio in my truck as soon as one song is over because variety for me is what I seek. I am into ethereal quality, great bass sound, quality lyrics even those that use an occassional curse word, and generally fuel my basics' cravings from the 60's and 70's!
I also sway into the classical pieces, select opera works, gospel, bluegrass, metal and rap stuff to keep my horizons expansive.
sharing the light, erica

6. cremechese (4503) | 3 years ago | Oh. My musical tastes are so eclectic. I'm a rock baby too, but there are so many other kinds of music I listen to as well. I love folkie music, the old Peter Paul & Mary albums, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger. Joni Mitchell, now I love Indigo Girls. All the 60s psychedelia, as well. Pink Floyd wasn't just music, it was an*experience*! This is tough, Rosie, I like some of everything from a-z (or would that be "alternative" to "zydeco"?)

7. lightlysalted (114) | 3 years ago | I'm not into one specific type of genre but if I had to narrow it down it would be folk (particularly "show of hands") or blues. there's so much great music out there and if i'm honest I prefer lisenting to it live rather than on CD or radio as there's just something so special about live music. Wouldn't it be dull without music

rosie_123 (3858) | 3 years ago | Yes - you are right - life would be very dull without music, and I love to go and watch live bands too.

9. santuccie (1940) | 3 years ago | I've had formal training in classical music, so I have a deep appreciation for it. One of my favorite types of CDs to collect are organ music CDs, though you might get a bit of redundancy there. One of the most common pieces you'll get in such a collection is Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.
For radio listening, I've found it's hard to go wrong with oldies. Most of them I like, and I tend to feel good when I have them playing in the background.
My favorite group is Pink Floyd, and my favorite solo artist is Norah Jones.
