The trees are turning green and quite a lot of the flowering trees are budding out. We have weather in the upper 60's and low 70's. It just seems too early this year! I love spring weather alright, but it makes me worry about summer coming too soon with the hot weather that I don't get along with! LOL

You bet it is spring! See my avatar? I just changed it in honor of spring finally getting here. I was more than ready. The yellow in the background is a forsynthia bush that is a favorite of my wife. It just bloomed out and my wife "suggested" I include it in an updated avatar. She also thought I should switch out the cat for our dog. The cat, being on the internet and everything, was getting bit snobby, stuck up, and uppity. So, we are giving the dog a chance to be the pet celebrity.

I would love to be where you are. It is supposed to be Spring here and the daffodils and tulips are all in full bloom but the weather is extremely cold. It snowed for most of the weekend and there is more snow expected to-night. The children can't even enjoy the snow, as it snows mostly at night and it melts in the sun during the day. Try to enjoy the hot weather as you could be here freezing for the whole year.

Snowing! I had to go check out your profile to see where you lived...so it's snowing in Great Britain. I'm sure your spring will show up soon, though.

Yup, 76 last week here in Kentucky, then dipped back into 30s (nighttime) over the weekend and predicted upper 70s this week. If it is 70 in the spring, that means we are going to have one HOT summer. I dread summer. I don't deal with the heat well either Esther. My daffodils are up and my peach tree has buds that are almost popped open. Yup, Spring is here..officially today!

Isn't that funny...a friend just said today that she loves spring but can't endure the summer heat!!!! Our trees are all in bloom and so are everyone's allergies!!!! Today we had rain and more predicted for tomorrow...but it's more tolerable with the fresh blooms to brighten up the grey!!! My daffodils are popping up and looking so cheery!!!!

Oh, can I relate. I live in Los Angeles and I dread the summer because I hate the heat. I run my A/C 24 hours a day and try to stay inside as much as possible. I even wrote a poem about how I look forward to fall all summer long. It's called "Summer Dreams of An Autumn Breeze." Anyway, I am going to do my best to enjoy the spring time and pray that the summer isn't too bad. Actually, my real prayer is to move to Oregon so I don't have to deal with 80 - 90+ degree temperatures. Oregon has mild temperatures year round and it actually gets cold during the winter time. Of course, it does rain a lot but I like the rain so that's not a problem. Eventually, it might be nice to have a home in the mountains where I can go enjoy the snow and a house in Oregon to get away from the summer heat. Wouldn't that be nice?

Yes, spring does seem to have arrived, a lot of trees are in blossom and even my raspberry plant is thinking of opening more buds. The problem is that we had a hailstorm yesterday and those plants must be confused now, it's like the seasons are all confused somehow.

Of course it is beginning to be spring. 8:04 p.m. Tuesday the 20th. Time marches on and we take advantage of what we can as the seasons progress. It is the natural order of things and I would much prefer the warmth over the cold and the heating bills that go with it. I hope you can find peace with the nature that was given to us by the Creator.

It's still in the 20's and 30's here, with several inches of snow on the ground. It's supposed to warm up towards the end of this week. I can't wait! I know what you mean about the hot weather, I have a very hard time in the heat. I sometimes dream of moving to Oregon, as I've heard the weather is more temperate there.

It looks like spring here, the trees are green and some have blossom and the spring flowers are out, we have daffodils everywhere now. However yesterday it snowed and it is very cold today. Its annoying as just as I was thinking of getting the garden ready for summer and getting the kids some new toys for out there the weather turns really cold again.

Solo looking fluffy for winter - Looking fluffy for winter
Ain't that the truth!! My part Mainecoon cat is loosing his fur BIG TIME! He looks pretty funny with his summer coat, unlike my other long haired cats he really looses his long fur. He looked pretty magnificent in the winter & sorry in the summer. Here it is the first day of spring & he's already lost his "ruff."

Yesterday, March 30, we had rainy fall weather, and in the middle of the day it actually started snowing really hard! Then, because it was still too warm, it changed to pouring rain for several hours. It was the craziest thing. Today...back to the 70's and spring time weather!

I'm jealous - woke to an inch of ice and freezing rain this morning, it's all of 34 now - certainly not a heat wave. I wish it was spring, I'm thrilled when it hits 60. I don't however like real hot weather and pray this summer isn't too bad.

My mother was born in Cincinatti, and lived a lot of her life in Ann Arbor and in some small town on the shore of Lake Michigan. I remember as a child getting to go up there (we're in Texas) and they had cottages they rented out in the summer time to tourists. I remember thinking how huge Lake Michigan was! I couldn't see the other side! Anyway...small world, isn't it? Sorry for your freezing rain! That is the worst! If you have to have snow, at least it could melt off in the afternoon! LOL!

I'm not looking forward to the heat either. I've always wanted to build an air conditioned kitty house for my outside kitties. I also get so frustrated when I see a field with horses or cows and NO SHADE!!! Plant a tree or something!!

I think the horses and cows are accustomed to being out in most kinds of weather, aren't they? Especially the cows.
