Sure you are young and if you are like my family, you are caught up in the day to day living...kids need glasses, have school trips etc...my daughter has grad this year...it all piles up!! So it seems that it is almost impossible to save for anything for retirement...any ideas??

I went into early retirement just this week. Reason is that I feel the time and effort I have given to my job do not commensurate with my salary. Besides, there is a lot of things not too comfortable with the management. I took the bold step to step out and step up. Thank God, my monthly passive income from online businesses could replace my salary. Now, having much more time, I have decided to become a netpreneur and infopreneur. Retiring does not mean that I do not have a job or business to carry on. In fact, retirement is the best time to launch out to do things or businesses that we are more passionate in.

I have been working for almost 25 years at the same company doing the same work / routine. I feel that I'm almost exhausted, having to work at the office and at home. Two years ago, I felt I wanted to retire from work, want to relax and just stay home. But then staying home all day is just as boring too. I know I'm still 13 years away to optionally retire, but I guess I'll have to work as long as I can, until I reach the retirement age. By that time I have something to receive - a pension, which I had saved from the deduction my company gets from my salary for that purpose.

I decided, when I went to work for myself, that I would continue paying into a previous work pension every month. It is not a lot of money, but at least there should be something there for my retirement. I'd also like to invest elsewhere, for example in property, but really do not have any money for that at the present time.
