 Is anybody else excited about what a great year this is going to be for Metal? Here are some bands that have or are going to release new albums in 2007. Feel free to comment and add to this list or tell which ones really interest you:

1.  Zalvor (583) | 3 years ago |  I'm eagerly awaiting the new Symphony X CD "Paradise Lost". If you haven't checked their previous releases, I highly recommend you do. They are a progressive metal band with classical influences and jaw dropping riffs with blazing orchestral arrangements. Some of their well known albums are Divine Wings of Tragedy, V, and Odyssey.

| Metallideth (354) | 3 years ago | Thanks, but I've got 'em all already. I'd definitely say they're in my top 6 with Metallica, Children of Bodom, Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Megadeth. (I can't narrow it down to a top 5 because I love all those bands so much, lol).
My favorite album is Divine Wings of Tragedy. It's the one I listen to most often, but they're all great. Out of the Ashes and Church of the Machine (from Twilight in Olympus) are my 2 favorite songs. | |

3.  doomed1 (115) | 2 years ago |  Well, now that 2007 is over, maybe we should look back on it. I personally found Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos to be great, while Symphony X's Paradise Lost to be disappointing. What about you folks?

| Zalvor (583) | 2 years ago | I admit it for the first time anywhere, but yes, I was disappointed with Symphony X's Paradise Lost and just couldn't understand why the rest of the world was so much liking it. I think an important reason for my dislike were the lyrics. I'm not really digging in all this "dark" theme Michael Romeo is so fond of. There were songs like Accolade in the past. This last record is beyond my limit. It's not suggesting nice things, and maybe it has to do with my mood also, but that's not what I need spiritually. I can't "let go" and listen when the lyrics go something like "it only takes one bite". Not for me. | |

| 5. Grimmy101 (68) | 1 year ago | I'm looking forward to Scars On Broadway's debut album which is out around the end of July. I'm interested to see Malakian's songwriting without his previous band. The one album I've been waiting and waiting for though is Metallica which'll be out around September hopefully. Theres some snippets of them on one of their websites which sound promising, Hetfield's vocals included. | |
