Generally I prefer thrash metal over any of the other subgenres of metal just because of the agression behind it and the speed. I also like a lot of the NWOBHM stuff that came around along with traiditional metal. I'm not a huge fan of death metal or black metal, I just never really could get into either of those genres. I'm not really liking the current metal scene with all these metalcore ban... |

I like a lot of their work, Malakian has some interesting writing with them. I listened to Mezmerize a lot around a month ago and I'm liking most of that album along with their older stuff. Obviously along with their hits like Chop Suey, Aerials, or BYOB but they've got some pretty good stuff that I think don't get too much recognition and are overshadowed by some of their other songs. "Lost In... |

Iron Maiden was probably my favorite band to come out from England during that New Wave of British Heavy Metal. They just stuck out as an amazing band, the guitar harmonies are the one thing I'll always remember about Maiden. As for a favorite album I'd probably say either Powerslave or Number of the Beast. Bruce seems to play a major role to me, when they had Paul Dianno and their other singer... |

I'm not heavily into Priest but I do like what I've heard from them. Downing and Tipton's guitarwork goes very well with Halford's voice. I'd recommend the album Screaming For Vengeance, British Steel also has some good stuff on it. |

Its pretty safe to say that they never covered this song. Limewire mislabels a lot of songs and most of them are just fakes that might seem interesting, which in this case is true. Unless Zeppelin might've jammed on this song live, which I don't think they did, its unlikely that they even messed with Smoke On The Water at all. |
 | Grimmy101 responded to a discussion called Beatles as the best music band of all time? in the beatles. 1 month ago
I do like them but I wouldn't personally consider them the best band of all time. They did some interesting things and brought some new things that other bands weren't doing at that time but I never found them too special. I found some other bands that came shortly after The Beatles to be better and a bit more interesting than them. Personally I think they're a bit overhyped and overrated, but ... |

They have pretty talented guitarists, I must say. I liked The Crusde quite a bit probably because he stopped screaming on that record and went more for a thrash vocal delivery. I always liked the musicianship in Trivium, the vocals would ruin it for me sometime. Triviums actually one of the few modern bands that I have some respect for, those guys are really some good musicians. |

Metal won't ever get to the point of how it was in the 80s not because of the bands, but because of the people and the fans in my opinion. Theres a lot of really bad bands out there these days, but theres also some very talented musicians who are technically better than a lot of 80s guys. Personally after the 80s a lot of people looked for some new trend to follow which led them to grunge and t... |

I'm looking forward to Scars On Broadway's debut album which is out around the end of July. I'm interested to see Malakian's songwriting without his previous band. The one album I've been waiting and waiting for though is Metallica which'll be out around September hopefully. Theres some snippets of them on one of their websites which sound promising, Hetfield's vocals included. |
