With electronics prices as low as they have become every business and property owner it apppears is taking the precautionary measure of installing monitoring and surveillance systems and software. This makes up 75 to just about 80 percent of your time spent on daily activities outside of your automobile monitored and recorded times. You are often recorded even in the comfort and confines of your vehicle too. There are monitors on nearly every stoplight in the Valley that I live in. Ostensibly they are there to catch light rushers and other unsafe motorists. However during the three years that I was on formal probation I saw several people get violated in part due to a surveillance camera picture of them in conference or interaction with another person on parole or probation and due to facial matching and archiving software they were caught "in association" and sent to prison for their violation. Now correct me if I am wrong but if a camera is supposedly installed to catch unsafe motorists in the road then why does the camera also have an arc of sidewalk and abutting parking lots in it's view? And if these people are not moving faster than 30 mps then they should not set off the shutter in any camera which is installed for traffic purposes. Any how my question for y'all today is. Think about the various places where you have run inside for a pickup, dropoff, pit stop, quick peek for whatever reason. By this I am trying to get you to include every time you got out of your car today outside of your garage. Now think how many of those places display some type of recording notification to satisfy the legalities about unauthorized taping for any purpose. Now think of the other places that due to their nature (ie. convenience store, casino, city or county government buildings etc.) are surely wired for both picture and sound. How many individual and independant recordings of your perfectly honest and legal interractions which are of interest to no one, do you thnk that you got 'in the can' today?Do you like that you are so photogenic?Do you find it/or not find it oppressive and unneccessary or do you just accept that it is a sign of the times and ignore it?
