I definitely will be panic. I'll pull it up with my eyes close and try not to thing about the toilet. And I'll immediately clean it and remove the battery and my sim card. Make sure that I'll really clean my hands with a lot of soap...yuck.... I'll try to dry it with hairdryer and take it to the phone shop the next day...

I don't have such experience before but my husband did. He just took it out and sent it to the authorized phone dealer for repairing. He was told that it’s not advisable to use a soaked phone immediately as it would spoil the mechanism inside.

I would immediately remove it from the toilet and try to clean it. I would also remove the battery and sim to avoid any further damage and let the whole thing dry out properly. There is a good chance that the phone would no longer work due to having got so wet, but at least it would be cheaper to repair than to replace.

Of course, I will pick up from the bowl of filthy waste, remove the SIM card and battery, rinse it with clean water and attaach it back again to see whether it works or not.

First off - welcome to myLot. I hope you have a lot of fun here. I would do the same as you. Reach in and pick it up, wash all the sh*t off it, take the battery off immediatly and remove the sim card. Pop the whole lot onto a shelf above your hot water storage tank and leave to dry out for a day or so. With luck, the phone will work again. Oh yes, and wash your hands!
