Do you prefer a Branded PC or a custom built one?  

It all depends on what brand, and/or who is building it.

i prefer a custom built pc as you can get anything you want in it.

we put our own computers together and that's the way I like it.
We can buy what we want for each specific use and we can shop around to find the best price for each thing.

It is cheaper this way to, so we can have better computers than we could afford if we bought a brand pc.

We all have our preferences when it comes to computers and how we use them, so each one of us has a computer that is geared towards those preferences.

I have 9 pc's they are all branded. I would love to have a custome built one, but I would like to the one that built it. The problem I see with custom built is usually the repair, they always want to charge more if you have to take it in for repair.

It's much better to own a custom-built PC, much cheaper but also we know we can be sure of it's components and features.
Sadly, mine's an old beat-up branded dell computer desktop. I am having a hard time in looking for some of the parts to which suits for the brand, plus the price is too much compared to those generic ones.

definitely a custom built pc.....not because its cheaper buh becuz u can configure it the way u want to.......

I prefer custom built as they are cheaper and u can put in anything u want, i mean ur completely free to choose a perfect comp that will suit your needs, however, as some people have rightly pointed out there is a little tech support edge when u buy a branded one.

before, i wanted my laptop to be customized or custom built.. but it will cost me $200 more.. well, i bought a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4114.. it has an Intel Centrino Core Duo, 1.73GHz, 2GB DDR SDRAM, and 120GB hard drive capacity.. well, i bought this August of last year.. so far, it's reliable and fast.. very good buy for its price.. but compared to yours, a $700 pc with those specs is a very good deal!

A custom built PC is much more preferable because it can save you lots of money. The PC of today will be obsolete for the next 3-5 years and you'll have to buy the latest ones to keep up with the standards. If some of the computer parts are busted, you can always replace them because they're cheap. Repairing is more costly than buying new ones. Here in the Philippines, tech support is not popular because most of the people here can repair their own PC. That's how self-reliable we are because we don't like to spend more money to something we can't afford.

I think I would prefer a branded PC because I have seen custom jobs have so many compatability issues as to be unusable. I would like a plain, simple, reliable computer, which is more or less what I have. Plus, it came with a 3 year warranty which is great peace of mind!
