Samsung or Sony

My Samsung D600 phone is getting on a bit now nearly a year old but I still think it's a good piece of kit that I wouldn't have bought had I not dropped my old one into a mug of coffee!
I hadn't realised that phones could have been so useful. This one, takes up to 2meg photos, plays my MP3s, take short movie shots as well as texting and making ordinary calls. I have put a bluetooth headset on it and got a dongle plugged into my PC so I can upload my photos and videos.
Whilst the phone is great, we got a Samsung TFT TV and that stopped working after 3 days, it was replaced but I got a Sony this time. The man in the store said he had had a lot of the Samsung TVs returned, so I decided to get a Sony - a bit more expensive, but I've always had Sony when it comes to TV and the brand has never let me down. Yet, I've owned a Samsung computer monitor for the past two years and it couldn't be better.
Now this is strange because a friend of mine said that Samsung and Sony are more or less the same company.
Thought it might be a good place to start my first discussion. Samsung or Sony?

Yeah, I do have a Sony phone before and it works pretty good and even has a great features there, but lately after months of using it then, I feel bored about it and decided to give it away to my sister and as for me I got a Nokia phone and like my other Sony phone I give it away to my dad...then finally, I got my permanent phone now which is an old brand name of Alcatel a Camera phone with it's other features on it, but it surely works good for me and I love using it. I don't think this time I'll trade it in again with some new ones :-)

in our province/state youths will go for sony ericsson.
beacause one of the service provider giving a free surfing through sony ericsson.
and those who were desire,quality multimedia,definItly go for NOKIA.
I DONT LIKE THE DISPLAY AND FONTS OF SAMSUNG.MY FIRST PHONE WAS SAMSUNG.THEN I CHANGED TO NOKIA.
