Which one do you prefer, reading the news online from sources like Google, MSN and such or having the paper physically in your hands with the ink bleeding on them?

I always prefer to read news in the NewsPaper as it is more enjoyable. But if there is some latest/interesting news which I would want to read immediately then I will go for the online sources. As this is a limitation with the NewsPaper that they come have only morning and some local newspapers have evening editions only. But even if I have read the news online, I always again read it in the newspaper. The online news can only be considered as preliminary reading.Only reading in anewspaper makes me feel that I have read all the things about the news. The online sources are also usefull as I use them for searching previous news articles as it is very cumbersome job doing in the printed newspaper. The other thing which I can do is that I can read it anywhere in the house where it is a limitation with my desktop computer as I don't have a laptop.

I only read sport news. And I use both formats, physic and online. Online offers speed information, while physic offers more detailed news. I also enjoy listening to radio news.

I really like how easy it is to find the news I'm looking for online however to me it's actually hard to concentrate when reading the news on the computer, instead I usually just skim through them. REI Powerhouse Invest for tomorrow, TODAY! www.reipowerhouse.com

I like to read my newspapers on line. I like to be able to save on paper, and it's easier for me to read, than to worry about trying to fold and unfold a newspaper. The only publication I don't read on line, is my newserrk.

I'm an online person because I can avoid all of the bad news by searching for the good stuff. I hate hearing about this person dieing and that person, where if I do it online then it only gives me the ones I want. However I still like to find my classifieds in the physical paper.

Lets see, i like to have a ready and mobile source of news but i don't like the idea of hunting for internet connection or hotspots. I also dont like the idea of having a heated device on my nether regions even when looking at info and neither do i see the need for carrying a vulnerable (and expensive) news/info source out in the streets where the snatchers and muggers are. So where can i get news in a mobile and easy-to-use form? Oh, the newspaper!

I can understand how carrying a laptop around maybe quit bulky and such however they do have electronic news for PDA's and cell phones now a days. :)

well, actually I don't like to read news at all. they are all the time about different dramatic stories and as I am very easily influenced I can't get other some stories so quickly, so to save my good mood I prefer to read success stories online or in the people magazine. or search for only good news online.

I can completely understand where you are coming from in fact I'm very selective in the news that I personal read as well. I think the newspaper is filled with too much bad news and very seldom good news. That's actually the reason I personally like online news better than the paper because I can control what I read a lot more.

I much rather read the latest online, because there is so much rubbish in the papers, it's full of scandal and sport, that I much rather save my money and read all I need to read on the headlines on the web, far easier and also it saves paper too. And yes I hate getting all the print over my fingers afterwards.

I prefer reading newspaper than online news. Newspaper is the first thing that gets into my hand. I also looks at the television news in the tv channels. Sometimes I also look at online news in the net. I like reading newspaper than online news. For movie news and cricket news I prefer online websites.

I'm the same way with the fact I always read about movies online, I can never trust what the paper has to say about them.

In the week I tend to read the BBC's website on a fairly regular basis - several times a day. I guess I'm a news junkie, although I spend a fair amount of time there reading the Technology and Science stuff. However, one issue I have is that the news comes in so fast nowadays that there's rarely time for any reasoned analysis - it just gets banged up on screen / on to web pages. At least with the news papers you get a little delay between the event and the story being printed. In times of war / terrorist attacks the speed with which incomplete information gets put n web pages and on the TV screen is quite scary; I'm sure it stresses people out. The only time I'll buy a newspaper in the week is if I'm travelling anywhere by bus or train that's going to take me more than 45 minutes. However, at the weekends I buy a couple of papers a day - the BIG ones - the ones that will keep me reading in the evenings for the rest of the week until next weekend! I like the feature articles, though, rather than the news sections, and often use the feature articles as jumping off points for other reading.

I agree in fact even though at my old house I had the paper delivered to my door I still looked at the news online.

Neither. I don't read newspapers digital or otherwise. Well, if I'm given the link to an article I will read that but that's not quite the same really.

I like reading real newspaper, especially for local news. The net give us enormous sources to get any kind of news, but sometimes I think they are really too much...
