I never thought of making one that way.

I'm sorry for the passing of your dog and I'm equally as sorry we don't live closer. I'm not able to get what I would need here in my little town and not so sure I'd be very successful at making one but I'd sure get you to make me one if you lived closer. You sound like a very crafty person making your own crafts can save lots of dollars and I know first hand some of that stuff in the stores is garbage. We bought our little dog a bed from Wal-Mart and I'm sure it's not half as good as what you's made. Keep up the good work. Are there any plans for a new Pet ? I don't want to even think what I'd do without my little Maltese. She's 4 pounds of pure Love !!!

What a brilliant and yet so simple idea for making our own dog beds Kathy! I have two small dogs, and a bed made of an inflated inner tube inside a hessian bag or something similar would be ideal for them outside in the yard. I'll have to have look round our local area and get some freebies!
Sorry to hear about your dear little dog passing away after 12 faithful years. It's devastating when you lose a much loved pet; we have been there a few times over the years. They get to be part of the family, don't they?

Hi Kathy, that sounds like a good idea. I just bought 2 more beds for our kids. Tara really goes through them as she is only 2 years old. She is getting tired of sleeping in her crate but we have no choice. I shall keep your post for future reference.
