I know I’m not very old, and some may wonder why I bother to stop and think about questions like these. Still, I do. I think about the lessons I have learned, throughout my years, and I wonder. If I had acted differently then, would I still have learned that lesson? Many things make us learn lessons in life, good and bad things all the same.

My past has done a lot for me. I didn’t have a good childhood, but when I think about it, I try to focus more on the lessons that I learned from it. I will never lie the way my mother lied to us. If I decide to have children someday, I will be there for them. I will never let my husband or anybody else lay a hand on my children if I have some. I could go on for a while about the lessons that I have learned, but it is not the point of my discussion.

The point is that I would like to know if you too, have been affected by some incidents in your life, making you learn new lessons. How do you react when such things happen? Do you deny it? Do you simply accept it and move on? Do you forgive and forget? I know some things can be harder than others to accept or to forgive. But still, is it worth being angry about it for the rest of your life?

There's two lessons I have learned in life. The first is to be patient with myself and not rush through things to make whatever happen faster. I'm still working on this one, but I've gotten much better. I've learned that rushing through life just causes me to lose enjoying the process, which is the most important part of anything. The other thing I've learned is to listen more and talk less. Listening is a gift you give someone else. Through listening, we validate those we love.

I have learned a lot of lessons too in my life. Since childhood I have been working for my own. I rarely ask things I needed from my parents because I know they will not give me. With this, I learned to be independent, to be initiative and to be creative. I have been to alot of obstacles in life and I have to accept it because it is only the means of moving on and enter another journey in my life. I learned to be patient; to wait for things that I want to have. I learned how to set goals in life and be motivated to reach that goal. Not to rush things is very important because it is more difficult if you stumble because you keep rushing. Don't count the chicks if the eggs are not yet hatched is very good lesson that I have learned with all the experiences I have been to.

But the most important thing of all is that stand up, don't be shy because nothing will happen to me if I will always be shy. People will take advantage of you if they see that you don't have the capacity to fight for your right.
