What is your Favorite TV themesong |
| |
| I was watching nick at nite and Growing Pains came on. I remember loving the theme song when the show was originally on television, and it got me thinking about tv themes. The Greatest American Hero had a fantastic theme song. I loved the theme from WKRP in Cincinatti. Another of my favorites was from Perfect Strangers. Of course there are the classics, "the Brady Bunch," "The Partridge Family"; and even those with not lyrics, "The Andy Griffith Show," and the "Dick Van Dike show," come to mind. So tell me. What TV theme song brings back the most memories for you?? | | | | | |

| | The xfiles theme was on the "pure moods" cd that I got a couple of years ago. I loved doogie, but I can't remember what the title song sounded like. Oh well, thanks for your response and for bringing back some memories. I was sad to see xfiles go, but it's nice to see it in reruns on sci fi | | | |

| | Oh I have a lot of theme songs I like. One of my favorites though is "Look at what's Happening To me" from the show "Greatest American Hero". I also love the song from "Angel". It's such a huanting melody. It really sticks with me. I have a few theme songs on CD and Cassette not to mention in MP3 mode. They do bring back memories of when we were kids and how life was back then. "The Facts of Life" or "Wonder Woman" come to mind and "Golden Girls" or the list could go on and on. They had some great songs with the shows and I like them. Of course I like the ones for the CSI shows now too :) | | | | | | |

| | yes, but the CSI shows are all real songs recorded by the Who. and although they all fit the shows, they are still the Who to me. I guess it's my age. LOL I only watched Angel once. I liked him in buffy. I had almost forgotten about Wonder Woman. That was a funky tune wasn't it? Almost as good as "Shaft". LOL | | | |

| | I still find myself singing the themes from Gilligan's Island and the Flinstones. I did like The Greatest American Hero and WKRP theme songs, cyntrow, but I don't now all the words like I do for more quality programming like Gilligan and the Flintstones. | | | | | | |

| | I always found it amusing that the WKRP theme was sung by the guy who played "Les Nessman" in the show. Of course, anyone who was born after 1960 can sing along with Gilligan's Island and the Flintstones. Some dont know all the lyrics to the flintstones theme. I do. LOL. Shows what I life I have. | | For sentimental reasons, my favorite tv show theme song is from "Hawaii Five-O". I used to watch it with my gran in the late 60's. She just loved James MacArthur. Thanks for reminding me, it brought a huge smile to my face. It has no lyrics, but it rocks out on the drums. | | | | | | |

| | Brings back memories of surfers and hula dancers. That was a cool theme. And between the shots of hawaii, they would show the cops. Dan-o was always my favorite. And my favorite line, which I am told was never uttered..."Book him dan-o." | | | |

| | My favorite theme songs for TV programs, well I have two. One is LA Law because I love the sax! Oh I love jazz but mostly the saxaphone. Whew! The other is Golden Girls. I love their theme song because it's about being friends and it's so pretty and well thought up. | | | | | | |

| | LA law is a great theme, but I prefer the bass at the beginning to the sax. Personal preference. "thank you for being a friend" is a real song from the seventies, but it is the perfect theme song for these 4 older women who live as sisters in the "Golden Girls." I lvoe that show. THanks for responding. | | | |

| | I think the catchiest, most memorable is one that you mentioned, the Andy Griffith Show. All the oldies with words are pressed deeply into my memory, it's impossible not to sing along, at least in my head. But I have two other choices that are pretty obscure. Another whistled one, (at least I think it's a human whistle- maybe it just makes me want to whistle) is from the BBC series of Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy. Whenever I watched the show, I always wished they would play the theme more than once. And the other one is a show not many people remember. It was ER with George Clooney, but it was a sitcom he did before the other ER. It had a great theme sung by Lou Rawls. "We've got a real emergency here. And I simply don't know what to do. There's so much tension in the atmosphere. I'm in a panic that I might not get through." You are fortunate that you can't hear me right now. | | | | | | |
