My favorite TV Theme song is from The X-Files. It's by Mark Snow. I also live ER's theme and Doogie Howser's theme...those are my top 3 favorite TV theme songs

Oh I have a lot of theme songs I like. One of my favorites though is "Look at what's Happening To me" from the show "Greatest American Hero". I also love the song from "Angel". It's such a huanting melody. It really sticks with me. I have a few theme songs on CD and Cassette not to mention in MP3 mode. They do bring back memories of when we were kids and how life was back then. "The Facts of Life" or "Wonder Woman" come to mind and "Golden Girls" or the list could go on and on. They had some great songs with the shows and I like them. Of course I like the ones for the CSI shows now too :)

I still find myself singing the themes from Gilligan's Island and the Flinstones. I did like The Greatest American Hero and WKRP theme songs, cyntrow, but I don't now all the words like I do for more quality programming like Gilligan and the Flintstones.

For sentimental reasons, my favorite tv show theme song is from "Hawaii Five-O". I used to watch it with my gran in the late 60's. She just loved James MacArthur.
Thanks for reminding me, it brought a huge smile to my face. It has no lyrics, but it rocks out on the drums.

My favorite theme songs for TV programs, well I have two. One is LA Law because I love the sax! Oh I love jazz but mostly the saxaphone. Whew!
The other is Golden Girls. I love their theme song because it's about being friends and it's so pretty and well thought up.

I can never remember the name of it but I love the theme song to Laverne and Shirley

I think the catchiest, most memorable is one that you mentioned, the Andy Griffith Show. All the oldies with words are pressed deeply into my memory, it's impossible not to sing along, at least in my head.
But I have two other choices that are pretty obscure. Another whistled one, (at least I think it's a human whistle- maybe it just makes me want to whistle) is from the BBC series of Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy. Whenever I watched the show, I always wished they would play the theme more than once.
And the other one is a show not many people remember. It was ER with George Clooney, but it was a sitcom he did before the other ER. It had a great theme sung by Lou Rawls.

"We've got a real emergency here.
And I simply don't know what to do.
There's so much tension in the atmosphere.
I'm in a panic that I might not get through."

I cann't say one there are somany and I watch many themes and I loves many , I cann't name few, and I have here are territorial so if even name you will unknown to everybody ..
