Which do you prefer Marvel/DC or Manga?  

I also like manga and anime.

I was never a Marvel fan, sometimes DC. I was more into manga for several years when I first got internet but now I am finding it irritating that almost all the stories involve fighting or some kind of card game (which fighting seems to always get involved in the plot somehow). Now presently I am hooked on Hikaru No Go but that is the only manga/anime story I know of that I enjoy. I just hope that somewhere along the line the author destroys its integrety and introduce ninja Go players.

Yes, I know there are manga romance stories, but I'm not into those either.

Almost each week I go to a comic book store and look around for anything different. Sometimes that would be from Image or Vertigo, but most of the time I will pick up an independent or self-published work. Many times the art isn't so great (but I have found a few exceptions - Mouse Guard by David Petersen is one example) but if the story is good I can easily overlook that. And sometimes I don't like the story but like the art (Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life by Bryan Lee O'Malley is an example of that)

Lately I've been looking for works that were written by Alan Moore. Watchmen is a classic by him, as well as Top Ten. I have found others but I am deliberating about buying them because they are thick expensive books and I find the artwork appalling.

Thus my answer: neither - it depends on the story and the art. Sometimes one overrides the other. And perhaps my mood at the time I am buying them.

I like all of them but I prefer manga.

I prefer mangas. I love series like Nadesico, Naruto, Evangelion, Inuyasha and many others. My favorit one is Saint Seiya.

I like both actually... and if i have money i'll buy both..
But the problem is.. marvel's n dc's comic was not as much as manga in my country.. So i buy a lot manga. The other reason is there's a lack of dc/marvel's manga scan that i could find...
But both of them had it's own style of story or artwork, so i liked to have both...^^

dc for me. marvel has become somewhat messy and repetitious over the years.i also got tired of all the mutants. there's something simpler about dc, and more down to earth and human about the stories. i guess i just kin of relate more to dc characters.

i love to read manga than marvel/dc. american comic is quite good but i prefer the character in japannese comic. well, it can be caused i m asian person so that i prefer it, i also dont know :)
but manga character more uniqely than marvel/dc, i think

Manga hands down. I hate drawing and reading american comics. xD
