Are there any songs you don't like to listen, but love to play?

I never did like Boy George or Culture Club. However, I got a music book of 70s and 80s music, Karma Chamileon was one of the songs on it. At first I just thumbed past it, because I don't like the song. One day though, I was flipping through the book and decided to give it a try.
It's simple strumming in the key of C, but the rhythm and strum patterns were a lot of fun. Over the years I've found other songs just like that.

You're right, House of the Rising Sun is a really fun song to play. I used it as a finger picking drill because it give my pinky a real workout. ;~D
Pink Floyd songs are fun to me too, because you can go with just the chords or take on the leads. You can put on "The Wall" and play a different part every time.
I guess you can do that with most music, but for some reason Pink Floyd lends itself to that a lot better than most.

I play the piano and bass guitar. I have just joined a group who plays every Friday night and I got one of their books to practice. Most of the music is from the 70's and 80's which are so simple to play. There are many in the book I do not like to hear so much or maybe I did not hear a lot when they were popular. There is only one song I really do not like to hear at all, but I do enjoy playing and that is Bridge Over Troubled Water. I am probably the only American who is not a fan of the Beatles, but I do like to play their music. I think the main reason I do not like their music is because I had a brother who went to sleep by their records every night and these songs played over and over all night. I think I cringe everytime I hear one of their songs. I also do not LOVE hearing Rolling On A River, but I do enjoy playing it on the keyboard and the guitar. so, I do understand what you are saying about these songs that are not fun to hear but are either easy to play or enjoyable to play.

Count me among the few Americans who don't like The Beatles. Bridge Over Troubled Water makes my teeth hurt!
Some of their songs are fun to play though. I remember having fun on the intro to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I don't play piano, but I can think of a few songs I think would be fun to play.
