that has got to be the most horriable thing in life is to find out your child is sick. i dont know what to do or how to help. i dont want to say the wrong thing. i have had family members with it and i have gotten some removed i know it is scarey and hard but when it is a child it seems worse. what can i do for them?

I'm not sure what you can really do for them other than to offer them a hand if they need it or an ear if they need someone to talk to. You are a very good person to talk to. You are also easy to communicate with. I think you will do enough for them as the time comes. There is nothing you can really say ordo right now. I am sure they will let you know. I know you want to be sure not to say the wrong thing, so I would wait for them to come to you with needs. I would offer them your sincere gesture though so they will know they can rely on you if they have to.

Just be there for them!! Don't shy away because you don't know what to say. When we found out our son had problems, the friends we ran around with all just scattered and later told us they didn't know what to do so they stayed away. They made it so much worse by deserting us. We needed them, even if they had no answers and they let us down. Be there and help if they ask for it. Don't be afraid to offer and let them take it from there. Keep their hopes as high as you can, it is going to be a big, hard road for them.
