Sean is and will always be the first and best Bnd but he has played many roles before Bond and after Bond. I have two roles tha I love. Rising Sun and The Russia House. In Rising Sun he plays a investigator and a Japanese expert that helps Wesley Snipes solve a murder.he is smooth but not like Bond and that's what I like about it. And in The Russia House he plays a reluctant agent for Brittain, the opposite of Bond. He is senstive to the other side and doesn't carry a gun.Oh, I remember another role I loved, Play It By Heart. He plays a dying married man. He has three grown daughters and he is about to renew his vows with his wife.It is a softer role.

There are two other roles that I admire Sean Connery for, Quartermaine in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and as Indiana Jones father in the final film of the trilogy. In both these roles he showed his flexibility in acting by performing two exceptional comedy roles. However, 2 things, I don't think he will ever be able to shrug off the title of James Bond and I wish he could get rid of the Scottish accent when playing other roles - perhaps his abilities don't run to this level. Whatever criticism we have of him he has had a very successful career for which he has to be given credit and respect.

Those were my answers! Except I think he has shrugged off the bond image. That was so long ago and 'kids' these days don't know him as that. And keep the accent. It's so hot!

I remember watching him when he was awarded the lifetime achievement award. He told of his early years in British theater. The Brits told him he'd never make it, and suggested he take voice lessons to get rid of the accent. He grinned as he commented that he obviously never got rid of the accent.

I agree that Sean should keep his accent. He is Scottish and proud of it.

I love him in The Rock, it's one of my all time favourites movies & i watch it all the time, he's excellent in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen too. I have to admit i watch Indiana Jones religiously - i bought the box set & can watch them over & over - Sean Connery's in the final one as the father (The last crusade) & i love it, he's an awesome actor & does well in whatever role he's put in to. I haven't seen him in the Bond movies too much coz i really haven't seen any of those but my partner wants to get the complete Bond set so i'm sure i'll get a chance to see it - once they stop releasing new Bond movies!

for me there can be only one, it just has to be highlander. I think in that film the role he plays is both heroic and romantic, the spanish immortal. Blessed be

I haven't seen much of sean's movies but I love his role in The gentleman's league (forgive me if I'm wrong with the spelling). But I know he is a good actor, what I like most of him is his voice just like with anthony hopkins, he have such a powerful and authoritative voice.

I love Sean. Always have. The older he gets the more distinquished he becomes. Hmmm, do you think he needs a mistress? Anyways, back on topic. I think his best was in Indiana Jones because it showed a side of him we rarely see. His light hearted funny side. He was so cute and funny in that movie. I also really enjoyed The Hunt for Red October and The League of Extrodarinary Gentlemen. But why oh why did he have to: *******spoiler******** DIE??????

I too think Sean Connery is one of the best actors in the world. I am not a big fan of the Bond movies, but I have enjoyed him in many others. I think my favorite is the role of mentor in The Highlander. He is so smooth and handsome. I forget the name of the movie he was in with Catherine Zeta-Jones as a cat burglar, but it was also very good.

Well, his Bond movies are ofcourse the highlight of his career but apart from that, he has also worked in some other good movies. His role is Braveheart was simply amzing, then he was also looking cool in The Rock. These are the two movies which I like apart from his Bond movies.

So far I have only watched Entrapment aside from the old Bonds. And I think he is one hell of an actor. It's true he doesn't do violent movies but his roles fit him perfectly.

Sean Connery - Sean Connery and Tippi Hedren in Alfred Hitchcock film Marnie
I have to admit that my favourite Sean Connery film is Marnie which was an Alfred Hitchcock film. He was sexy sexy and cool in the film and plays a man who falls for a women who's stealing from his company and he blackmails her into marrying him. He's really smooth in the film and it is definitely the best role I've seen him in! YUMMY!

Oh, my... I have no idea. I have enjoyed everything I have seen him in. I loved him as Draco. That is still the only movie that makes me cry every time I see it. And Dr. Henry Jones Sr... And Juan Sanchez De La Lobo Ramirez And...Oh, I can't choose! Does anyone remember a very early role for him, as the young man in "Darby O'Gill and the Little People?" I was talking to some younger women (early 20s), and they all agreed he is still incredibly charming. One of them flat out said "yup, that is one SEXY old man!" lol

Well I'm probably among the rare people but I didn't like him much as Bond. I liked him in his other movies far better. Actually most of his non-bond films I loved from "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" on up to his current works. I can't really pick just one role but a few that I really love are his characters in "The Untouchables", "The Hunt for Red October", "Dragonheart" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". He is a great actor and one I think got a lot better as he got older.

There are so many movies that sean connery starred in i love them all. Three movies worth mentioning for me personally would be: The Rock Entrapment First Knight Bottomline is, he is such a versatile and very charismatic actor. The accent helps as well. There won't be a Sean Connery should he shave off his beard lol - Lyn

The role he played in Entrapment. He was a high tech robber who was never caught despite all the attempts by law enforcement. He was brilliant in his role in the movie.
