What made your best friend your best friend?

I have one friend that I consider my true best friend . She has been there for me over the years when I needed someone to understand what I was going through and she never puts me down for the way I look at things . She takes the time to listen to me when I am upset and is happy for me when I am happy . We have children close to the same age , so this gives us much understanding in what the other is going through . She is a loving mother and very good with my children which is important to me . She moved away last year and I miss not having her around to go do things with , but moving was the best thing for her as she was not making much in the way of money down here and she needed to do this for her and her family . Although I miss her greatly , I understood why she had to go and tried to support her while others tried to make her feel that she was making a mistake in what she was doing . I feel that a true friend will back you up when you need someone , no matter what your decision is and to try and see it from your point of view , no matter how much you may disagree . She is this type of friend and I can trust her with almost anything I have to say . Over the years she has proved herself to be very trustworty and a very kind and caring person .

sure, you can consider your wife your bestfriend. there are no standards or rules in choosing best friends. your best friend can be your parents, brothers or sisters, friends from school or friends from work or neighbors, etc. the fact is, a bestfriend is somehow the one closest to us... someone we can share ourselves with, be with, laugh with, cry with... and someone whom we could be as we really are... no make-up, no mask, no pretense. maybe, in time, when i have a husband, i'll want him to be my bestfriend too. but right now, i consider 2 of my sisters as my bestfriends. :)

her been there when i needed some one to talk to and she listened. the fact that no matter what we can count on one another and not have this im ony there when i need a friend. our kids love to play together.

Though I have technically three best friends, typically Jess and I spend the most time together so I'll use her as an example here. She's always been there for me whenever I needed her, likewise I was there when she needed me..we don't always get along, butwe always end up apologzing for the stupid things we said or how we acted and the conflict's soon 'forgotten' (I use the quotation marks because we don't really forget, forget, we just move on and we're even better friends than before the fight). Though we have alot of thingsin common in some areas we're drastically different..where she likes pop love-songs I like music with alot of blood and battles all about outer space with people getting maimed and losing things forever in them..we share a passion for creating things -- we're ALWAYS coming up with some new idea, scheme, plan..we're always up to something. And we keep eachother sane. Jess became my best friend after she stuck by me through one of the worst years of my life, especially after my ordeal with an ex of mine now. She didn't even know me very well at the time, but she stayed with me through my worst and helped me get better..and slowly..we just grew to be rather attached to eachother. Inseperable.

i have my best friend now because of a secret. she told me a secret and hat is the start of it all. i keep her secret for a long time. she told me all the things related to that secret. it is very confidential that i am the only person who knew it. even her parents don't know about that secret. i am the only person who has it. then, that is the start of our everlasting friendship. on her birthday, i even mentioned that i don't want to be at war or be mad at each other for we have friends that has been to that and i really don't want that to happen. small little disappointments and difficulties will do but not as big as traitor doing to your best bud! i love her and i hope our friendship will last forever.

i consider several of my friends my best friends because they hold a special key to my heart. i have 5 best friends and i got used to it and sometimes people are asking me why do i have so many best friends. on a personal note i do not constraint myself of having just one best friend.

Well one of my close friends I was raised around we were neighbors since we wer 7 years old. So I have known this friend forever. We are both 34 now I am 2 weeks older then her. My other friend we met on a job and have stayed good friends ever since.
