It has been thundering, lightning, raining, even hailing tonight. Almost to the point where I am about to shut my computer off, even though I do have a surge protector. I just love storms though.
There is something about them that intrigue me. I enjoy to smell the rain and listen to the rain fall outside.
How about you, do you like storms?
Don't get me wrong I do like sunny days as well, but when a storm comes along I always take time to enjoy it.

It's not very nice here either and there is more to come. As for liking storms i used to love listing to them the sound of the rain the smell of it i used to love love love it. Then a few years back we were taking the kids to my nieces place she was going to watch them for the day while my hubby and i went to wonderland. On the way there what a storm we ran into the wind picked up so bad and skies opened up. As we were driving down the back road to my nieces a tree fell right in front of us. Derrick hit the brakes and started to back up there were sparks flying as the tree took out the power lines. Then another tree fell behind us right across the road. My son who was only 5 at the time was freaking out if the truth be told we all were. My husband had to go into a field to get away from the sparks and the trees. we went the long way around to my nieces only to find all the power out. She had a crank radio and we listened to the news and found out that a tornado had gone through the area and there was a lot of damage. OMG we were in he middle of the storm how we got out i don't know. Prayers i think all of us were praying at that point. So since then a dark sky scares the life out of my. My son who is now 13 will freak if the trees start to bend. SO i don't like storms anymore.

One of the things I miss about living in Texas was the big storms we'd get-- although I can't honestly say that I miss the tornados. I have always liked thunderstorms, though-- especially when they happen in the desert (I live in the Phoenix area, for a while). There's a special smell that goes with rain falling on dry earth, mixing with the smell of dry sagebrush.
Growing up, I lived on the coast, and I really liked standing on the beach watching a storm or major weather front move in.

Where I live also has huge rain, some storm with thundering and lightning including hailing. I fear storm as it destroy dweling house of poor people and destroy trees and sometime kills people. Here I experience huge flood during rainy season which case loss of life and poverty destroy crops. Some year flood is not huge so people do not fear at that time. Rain is very interesting when if fall on roof made by C.I. sheet of dweling house. At night when rain fall we can sleep deeply.

oh i love thunderstorms! and nothing smells as wonderfully fresh and clean as rain!
we havent been getting even the average amount of rain where i live for a number of years now.
but when we do, i always get off the computer too. even though i have a surge protector, still feels like too much of a risk to me.

I love rain. But I don't love storms. Because I'm scared of lightning, especially when you see their glow in the night. And they are so near. And in addition, thunder, so loud. It makes me scare really. (&&,LOL)
