| Lincoln logs (wood ones) legos that didn't come with instructions for building specific items, Tinker toys, Slinkies, Easy bake ovens. These are just a few of the toys I recall from my childhood that seem to be making a bit of a comeback. So take that Nintendo! My kids are using their own imagintions, not yours!! | | | | | |

| | I'm defintely waiting for Shera to come back to the times. I remember having the toys, watching the cartoon avidly and just wanting to be like her as a kid. | | | | | | |

| | I remember Lincoln Logs. I played with those all the time, and I played with Legos too, but most of the ones I had did come with instructions to build very specific things. I also had a couple of Slinkies, but they never lasted very long, always getting tangled badly. | | | | | | |

| | My kids have never had video games. They have a couple of handheld ones but for the most part we have a lot of board games. They never got into Barbies very much, or even baby dolls. If you saw The Santa Clause (I think it was the second one) they were giving out classic games to the teachers at the school Christmas party. What memories I got seeing that. We have Kerplunk at home, and Trouble. There was also that game where you piled disks onto pegs on a balancing thingamajig and you had to make sure yours didn't bring the thing down (very descriptive, aren't I? LOL!) It was Teeter something. And there was the Knock Your Block off Boxers. I remember a friend having Lincoln Logs. I never had those. I had an Easy Bake Oven and a slinky. I was a big Barbie person though. The whole neighbourhood of girls would get together with all their Barbie stuff including cars and campers and swimming pools. I can't believe my kids never got into Barbies. And, oh my Lord, my daughter received tons of Barbies as gifts when she was younger. She did nothing with them. We must have about 30 Barbies in our house with no one to play with them. :( What'd I keep my stuff for? | | | | | | |

| | You kept it for the nostaglgia and because in good shape some older Barbies or worth dollars. I laughed when our youngest first went to daycare, because they couldn't get him to sit in front of the tv. He wanted to read books instead. | | | |

| | Lot's of good memories here. I remember a lot of things such as Popples, Carebears, Clifford, even Fraggles. Somethings haven't come back though, and it's a little sad that they haven't. They would bring back such good memories. | | | | | | |

| | I like the older toys and think they are much more educational than computer games. Children need their imaginations to grow, like you say the likes of the computer manafacturers are getting kids to use their computers imagination instead. I hate to think what future generations are going to be like, most will have no social skills as they've sat at their pc 24/7, will their be artists and authors? Only time will tell | | | | | | |
