How would you react if you were mistaken as someone older than your real age?

I just got asked how many kids I have...yes, I am already 28, married, but with no kids. I admit that I gained weight during the years. I got stunned when the question popped out, made me realize that I need to do something about my body and my looks. I didn't realize until this question that I look someone as old as they thought I could be. Have you been asked this question too? Have you been mistaken as someone older than your real age? What did you feel? How did you react?

People, lately, have mistaken me for someone who's well into college by now. Twenties. xD Which is a switch, because, by looking at me people used to think I was a ton younger than I've been and only after talking to me would they get confused (and on the flipside, believe I was alot older than college age if all they got was to talk to me, not see me). But now, by looking at me, people tend to think I'm older! Especially if I open my mouth. I still look youthful, and I'm always pretty much fit and healthy. I suppose my looks are just finally adjusting to what I'll look like as I get into my twenties, now (versus what I've looked like since I was thirteen). xD

Oh, in case it isn't clear, I mostly think it's fine and I'm just a bit surprised, xD

i've looked older than my real age for most parts of my life. when i was 14, i gained entry to places that has a minimum age of 18. when i reach 18, people say i look like i was 25. guess i have a mature look and my height doesn't help much either. i didn't feel unhappy because looking older was kind of in for youngsters then. now that i am 33, i'm happy to say i finally stopped looking older. in fact, some people think i'm a few years younger. i'm happy when people say that but i'm equally happy if they say i look my age. cheers

Oh!! I admire your disposition. That is great that you are not upset or annoyed when people mistakenly think you are older than your age. That's great that you turn that into a positive way like improving yourself so that they will not think you are old..LOL...
