I think conceptual art and to some degree abstract art is all a con and will not stand the test of time as the Old Masters have done. I am amazed that there are no art courses that can be done to my knowledge that teach the fundamental techniques of painting or drawing. Art students leave college not knowing the fundamentals of their craft.
I agree - I think it's the biggest rip off! Just can't believe people pay money for some of that stuff but they obviously do. What makes me laugh is the people that create it take themselves so seriously - I mean anyone can stick an apple on a stool and call it art! It's just nonsense.
