1)You may notice that you get bloated after you drink diet soda. The main reason is the carbonation in diet soda leads to fluid retention. This could be the reason you might be able to notice a little bit of a 'pouch' if you are drinking a lot of diet soda lately. Although you may think you may lose a lot of weight by switching to diet soda, the truth is that you may end up feeling as though you are losing less weight with regular soda because the amount of water weight you could end up gaining from diet soda. 2)One of the main reasons you might be drinking this is because it is low in sugar. However, did you wonder if it was low in anything else? Just because diet soda is low in sugar doesn't mean it is low in other things. In fact, diet soda has an extremelly high sodium content. One of the main questions would which is worse, sugar or sodium? The answer you can really flip a coin or take your pick. Both are not healthy when you drink excessively. So, know that you read these facts, are your opinions on diet soda different from before? Mine are. I usually don't drink diet soda though, it tastes bad to me. How about you, what do you think of all these facts?

Diet soda gives me magraines. I think it's sweetener related. If I'm going to have a soda, which I usually don't, I just order regular soda.

I think they both have their down sides. Regular soda is bad for you because it is full of sugar. Diet soday is bad for you because it has artificial sweetners which have been linked to cancers and other things. Soda is overall bad for you and your teeth but since I don't drink coffee I get my boost of caffeine from 1 diet soda a day. Usually Pepsi. I try to limit it to 1 a day though.

Soda is not a food or real drink. It is mostly chemicals and especially the diet kind, can really hurt your body. 2 sodas a day can put weight on you over year and yet so many people wonder why they cannot lose weight when they cannot give up pop. Thanks for sharing this information. If it helps one person mayhaps it is a good thing overall.

I don't drink diet soda's and don't allow my children to drink them either as they have aspartame in the diet drinks which is supposed to be unhealthy . People seem to think that because it says diet on it that it is better to drink when in fact it is not better , it is more hazardous to your health . It is true that neither are healthy if drinking excessively but the problem with soda is that it is usually addictive because of the caffeine so if you do drink it chances are you will end up addicted and drinking it excessively .
