No, I write a list of everything I need from the store. The problem I always have is putting way too many things in my cart that I don't really need. Need and want are hard for me to distinguish when grocery shopping. I think I need to make a second list telling me what NOT to buy. LOL

We all could need a list for forbidden things to buy now and then - :o)

It is so comforting to find so many people who do this, I am not the only one after all..

Oh, this happens to me all the time. I've been needing sugar for a while now, but I kept forgetting to buy some. Well, I finally remembered to get some today when I went to the store, but then I ended up forgetting something else I need. I even made myself a list this time so I could make sure I didn't forget anything, but guess what? I ended up forgetting the list! Guess I'll have to go back tomorrow. *sigh*

I like your story so much that I have to respond it. There are many great comments in the old discussions I find that I have almost forgotten..he..he..:)
Perhaps I need to make a list of all good discussions - but I would probably forget to use it anyway!!

I'm usually pretty good about getting everything I need, but a couple weeks ago I forgot the groceries! I made it throught he store with three kids, remembered everything on the list, stayed under budget and made it out of the store in an hour! I was so excited I forgot that I got drive up, hopped in the van and called my hubby because I was so excited. We got about two miles from the store and my 11 year old holds up the claim tag and goes "Mom? Where are the groceries?" OOOPS! I turned it around real quick and got them from the dirve up, but the kid loading them up was looking at me like "what took so long?"

I always do this and it makes me so mad. Sometimes I remember in the car but don't want to go back and wait in line again, Actually my husband and I just did that today we went to get dry wall screws and came back with every thing but them, We were fixing our new house that we just bought.

Well, a shopping list is a good idea, as long as you remember to take it with you..

If i had a dollar for everytime I did that, Hey I make a list and most times forget the list.
We go thru the store and my husband will say is there anything else we needed and of course I say no than we get home and we had forgot the main thing we went after.
Im going to blame it on old age either that or a cluttered mind but when I was younger I dont seem to remember forgetting things even with the kids with me.

I normally am able to remember what I went to the store for. My problem is that I don't always just get the item that I went to the store for. I seem to try to buy out the store because I know that I don't want to have to come back for anything.
