Whenever we were travelling long distance by bus and got a respite to visit rest rooms of hotels the first thing I did was to wash my face with cold water and even comb my hair .

I possible, use a fabric conditioner for your clothes. Rinsing will be reduced doing so. Instead of needing to rinse three times, with a fabric conditioner, it is enough to do the rinsing twice.
